We visited Sophia's Restaurant on Sunday morning June 8th 20-14 because we were staying at the Peabody MA Marriott and usually enjoy our visit at Marriott's full service restaurants.
We were seated immediately and our coffee and juice arrived promptly. We selected the full buffet breakfast for 17.95. This includes freshly made omelets, waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes waffles in addition to fresh fruit, strawberries. cantaloupe, grapefruit, oranges, whipped cream assorted breads and pastries. While slightly expensive we do enjoy the full service restaurants and avoid the new Bistros.
Our waitress never asked how we were doing and did not clear the empty plates. I enjoy orange juice and was the orange juice was never refilled. The table had gotten crowded so I placed the dirty plates on a divider next to me. A waitress from another saw the plates and cleared them. Our waitresses lack of service actually worked in our favor. Because our waitress did not come to see us until after the dishes with the hot items were cleared she only charged us for the less expensive breakfast. The only time we saw her was to pour the coffee and to give us the check.
I would have rather paid for the more expensive and had better service. It seems that the other waitresses were much better and if we had one of them I think our experience would have been much better.
