We stayed at the SpringHill Suites in Peabody for 3 nights to visit Salem & Boston. This hotel while nice is VERY hard to find at first if you're not from the area. We came in on Rt. 1 South & you have to do a U turn on Rt 129 Lynn exit to get on Rt. 1 North which is across the highway. After a few times of this we had it down, but MapQuest or GPS will not get this location right. This hotel was nothing spectacular but fit our need fine. The beds were comfortable & each room had a little wet bar with a teeny microwave & mini fridge. There were only 2 bath towels in the rooms upon arrival but we had to ask for more. I included some pictures for you to view. I'd definitely stay here again. OH...the breakfast was VERY good & FREE. Huge continental offering with a make your own waffle station, fruit, scrambled eggs & sausage. We were very impressed at the selection and again for FREE. This hotel is about a 10 - 15 minute drive to Salem, not bad at all.

I stayed here for an extended period about five years ago---my dad, who lived nearby, was dying, and this was a nice home away from home near Lynn's Union Hospital. It was an extraordinary stay back then---I ended up booking a block of rooms for my relatives to attend the funeral---not just because of the cleanliness and amenities, but because the staff went out of their way to help me.

My latest stay, five years later, was a one-night stay. I arrived late from the airport, and wanted a place with a convenient location (about 8 miles away via a relatively easy-to-understand route by Boston standards (Rte 1A north to Rte 60 to Rte 1), as well as a place where I didn't have to worry about breakfast the next day, and since I had been flying and in airports for 10 hours, a place with an indoor pool and workout room.

SpringHill didn't disappoint. It even has a little snack store where you can buy frozen dinners for a late-night dinner (which was a good thing, since the nearby Wendy's refused to serve me after 11 pm unless I was using their drive up.)

I also like the availability of a computer for guest use.

One recommendation I'd make is for the little store to include some low-fat or leanish cuisine frozen dinners.

A second recommendation is that their highway sign is placed AFTER the entrance; most new visitors at night end up driving past the entrance and don't know that you can take the next little side road which goes around the back of the hotel.

This location, unfortunately, is no where near public transportation.

From the moment we walked into the lobby and watched the operations manager multitasking with a huge smile on her face, we knew we'd enjoy this hotel. Liz was very patiently giving directions to a lost and long winded customer on the phone. She acknowledged our presence and efficiently checked us into our room using sign language and notes while the whole time being very curtious to the caller. She kept her smile and composure the entire time and the next morning, as we checked out she "tongue in check" asked us if we needed directions!

The accomidations were lovely as is with many of the new properties popping up all over. But the cleanliness and the staff are what would cause us to return again and again.

We hope Marriott understands how lucky they are to have Liz on their payroll.

Our extended family of four stayed on the fourth of July,2007 while attending activities on the north shore of Boston.

We had a suite with two double beds, and a fold out sofa bed in the living room area. All aspects of the stay were top notch.

Check in was flawless. I checked in later than the first half of our party and the desk clerk (can't recall her name), had my key in her hand as I approached the desk.

The lobby is well-designed, with nice dark wood, a small convenience store, seating areas and very courteous staff.

Our room was spotless with plenty of room for three adults and one child to move around. The large bathroom included a tub/shower and toilet. Outside there was a spacious vanity area. The kitchen area around the corner in the living area included another sink, fridge and microwave. The living room area included a couch that folds out into a bed, an arm chair, desk, and side tables.

A free full serve-yourself breakfast was served in the lobby in the morning. The seating for this was a bit cramped, but it was the best of this type of now ubiquitous make-your-waffle, get your juice type breakfast I've seen.

All in all, highly recommended.

We booked this hotel because my daughter's school stayed there on a trip to Boston. We were surprised that it wasn't really that close to the city. The employees at the front desk were extremely helpful. They gave us directions to the closest "T" station(9 miles). It was a little tricky to get there. Once on the "T"... everything was fine. It was a pretty quick trip to get to the Aquarium stop. That is the best stop because it is close to all the main attractions(Quincy Market). The front desk also gave us recommendations for restaurants to eat in the city. The breakfast buffet was good because they had so much food to choose from.
The rooms were clean and spacious. Overall we had a great stay at the hotel. As I had originally mentioned we were a little bit taken back by the location but the service from the front desk erased those thoughts! It is on a busy road.. but we had no problems getting in and out. The manager always told us to call for anything and gave us his card!

Stayed for two days with the family. Nice and clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Easy to get to and easy enough to get to Boston. Wish there was a closer T stop. Had to drive 10-15 mins to "Wonderland" to catch the Blue Line T stop.

We booked a getaway weekend at The Springhill Suites in Peabody Mass. We had a great time and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the northshore area. The hotel room was neat and clean with plenty of clean towels and nicely laid out. As others have noted the hotel is located between 2 roads and we never heard any hint of traffic noise. Breakfast was include in the price of the room with a nice assortment of breakfast fare to choose from. There is a nice exercise room and pool for those who want to work out or swim during their stay and 2 computers in the lobby if you need to check your email. Free internet is available if you've brought your laptop. The staff was friendly and very efficient . On the whole a nice hotel and a very reasonable price.
