We had lunch there today. My wife had a Fishwich (fried cod) and I had the Philly Cheese Steak. We shared fried onion rings (this is pre New Year's, so the fried food violates no righteous resolutions. Everything was delicious, the fish was fresh, and everything was served nice and hot. This is a great little cafe next to the Old Fire House, and a dependable spot for breakfast or lunch. No dinner. The atmosphere is spartan, and one's utensils are plastic. And there are cases of beverages that would be better out of sight. Finally, as of yet there's no sense of decor: the wall hangings are a random collection of posters, photographs and collages. Countering this is the fact that the sandwich menu is just fine, and the service is quick and friendly. You go here for the food, not for interior design breakthroughs. And they serve takeout, on the way to the beach.
