We've been to the "gingerbread cottages" several times over the last 50 years, and I never tire of the uniqueness of the area. The museum is filled with magnificent articles of history. The cottages themselves are all different and kept up so well. Be sure to take your camera!

Told in one of the cottages, with apparel and furnishings of the 1800's---both they must have been hot in all that attire. Don't miss it. Fills you in on a time gone by.

I've been by here a few times while out running or walking and I finally decided to stop in. So glad I did! The gentleman working at the Museum was SO great and he shared a lot of history and insight about the houses & campground area. You HAVE to stop in if you are in the area - it is small but so, so worth it. Love this!

We had seen these houses on a previous trip to Oak Bluffs but the museum wasn't open then. SO glad it was this time as this is the only way to see inside one of the houses. The upstairs area, though cramped, has a lot of interesting antiques.

Take your time and stroll around the streets in this area and admire the quint little cottages in all their colorful glory!

The cottages and their history were a nice surprise. Quaint little museum but we got to speak with one of the cottage owners while walking around. Interesting and educational. Who knew?
