This is a wonderful brew pub open year round, with great staff and locally owned. The food is excellent, wood fired oven makes awsome quesadillas and pizzas also. The wine selection and root beer is great as well for those who don't like beer, and the fresh oysters on the 1/2 shell rock. Atmosphere is wonderful as well- but NOT for those with peanut allergies, as there are peanuts in the shell at the door and shells go on the floor!

Well it's a brewpub so no surprise that the beer is the reason to drop in. The seasonal blueberry beer was fantastic. The food was (slightly) above average for a pub but on the expensive side. Service was good and we got a seat out on the small patio.

We were here in early June, prior to peak season. We arrived at about noon and we were seated immediately in a large booth. They have a barrel of peanuts that you can munch on while you wait, and the shells can go right on the floor. It's a great, laid back atmosphere, yet loud and very busy too. We loved that we could laugh and talk without feeling like we were disturbing other people. We knew that the beer is what we really wanted to try, but the menu looked so good that we decided to give the Parmesean Truffle Fries a try. Our server, David, was very knowledgable about all of the beer, and was so very friendly. We decided on the Offshore IPA, and the East Chop Lighthouse Ale. I also asked David about the Hop Goddess IPA since I am an IPA lover. He brought a sample, but for me, it was too much like a stronger lager - not quite hoppy enough for a true IPA lover. The Offshore IPA was very good, just the right blend of hops with a bitter bite. My friends got the East Chop Lighthouse Ale, which is very much like a lager, and they liked it a lot. The Parmesean Truffle Fries were absolutely delicious. The only thing we added was a little extra salt. It was the perfect match with our yummy beer selections. Before we left for Martha's Vineyard, Offshore Ale Company was on our list of important places to go!!! We thought that it would be overlooking the water, but actually it is in the middle of town with no water view at all. Don't let that discourage you from going. Being right in the middle of town makes it nice for shopping, yet is close enough to the water that you can walk there too. If you're a "beer snob", this is a must while on Martha's Vineyard. If good food is what you're looking for, this is the place to go too.

First off....this place is loud and chaotic and chatty. Don't bother if you're looking for a nice quiet dinner out. The slew of peanut shells that cover the floor should tip you off....

If, however, you want, really good food with really good service in an unpretentious restaurant, then you've hit gold.

We got there and we're told a 15 minute wait on a Thursday evening at about 8:30pm. They take your cell number and text you updates so if it's a long wait (and I can only assume it is during high summer,) you can walk around the neighborhood. Good perk. For those who chose to wait, there is a barrel of peanuts to crack, set and discard on the floor (I've always loved that.)

We got a huge booth is a room that is a bunch of tables with booths lining the walls with beer-making apparatus on a metal loft above. Our waitress was amazing. There quick, took our whole order at once (we came knowing what we wanted being the type of fatkids that look at menus like porn,) and brought drinks quickly. It became obvious throughout the meal that the staff all pitch in as our various items were brought by different people...I love that trend as everything got to us quick and hot.

The food: we got an iceberg wedge (really good, lots of blue cheese with lots of chunks and lots of bacon,) and fried ravioli (AMAZING,) to start. I don't know how, but these were brought out with lightning speed. For the main course, we got a Potato Pizza....thin crust, wood fired pizza with cheddar cheese, scallions, tons of bacon and mashed potato with sour cream on the side. So amazingly different with plenty left over to bring back to the mainland. As an added plus, when we got the rest wrapped, they brought a full thing of sour cream to go, too. A small thing all too often overlooked.

We passed on dessert because Back Door Donuts is practically across the street and there isn't a restaurant on the island that could compare to the apple fritter there for desert.

The cost: super reasonable. 48 dollars plus tip for two to leave full on the Vineyward? No brainier.

Great food, drinks and atmosphere!

We were there on a Tuesday night and they had live music. If you like beer they have a good selection of craft beers, some are their own (they do brewery tours on the weekend).
