“good burger”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

we stopped here after a long day of bike riding, we were hungry and tired and wanted something inexpensive but filling. We decided on burgers. The food was good, the burgers were just what we were looking for. The table beside us got the wings and they looked and smelled fantastic! Overall not a bad meal, burgers, soft drinks, and onion rings came to around $40.00 for the two of us, kind of steep for burgers, but considering the area, this was not bad. Service was not the best, but we enjoyed it just the same.

“for a cup of chowder, it's just ok”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Wanted a cup of chowder so we stopped at the Coop de Ville take out. The sign said $5.99 for a bowl but the price was $6.50 and the girl behind the counter said she did not know why they never change the sign and price but it is $6.50 plus taxes Made with milk, not cream and not at all thick and creamy as New England Clam Chowder should be. It was not bad soup just not up to the standard for a New Englander as I.

“Great beer selection, decent food”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

A nice place to sit and have a leisurely beer. Great selection of craft-brewed bottles and draft beers. The lobster roll was fine but not the best I've had. A friend had the lobster and corn special which was also serviceable. We shared a dozen oysters as well which were pretty good - served on a platter with no ice so seemed best to eat them quickly.

Staff were friendly and funny and the dockside location is quite nice in good weather.

“The Strip”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

One of seven or eight similar casual restaurants on the marina boardwalk, all having an open front to take advantage of the view, it is a great fine evening venue for casual food. We picked it at random for supper before going to the Dreamland Club and were not dissapointed. It was extremely busy( as the whole strip is on an evening )but the hostess promised to keep a table for us in ten minutes whilst we went a bit further along to Fishbones for a drink. To our surprise on our return, despite having other people waiting , she had a table for four of us. We had their lobster and corn special which was a MV bargain , and the rest of the menue looked OK and reasonably priced. Special mention must be made of our very hard pressed waitress , who despite being virtually alone kept our open bottle of Pinot Grigio on ice and returned regularly to refill glasses and make sure that we had everything we needed- she certainly deserved the large tip she got.

“Casual fun”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

Really fun casual place for a quick dinner. No frills, at picnic tables with close neighbors (but ours were cool). Great value for lobster special, and beer selection is great. Good choice for a quick good meal, good deal and family friendly. Staff really relaxed yet efficient. Perfect choice for a casual yet yummy meal.
