OK, so biscuit and gravy is my favorite, so I was psyched when I found a place on the Vineyard that served it...and it was good. Two biscuits buried beneath an ample amount of sausage gravy. Delicious.

Homefries are small red potatoes left whole and cooked through until crispy outside and creamy inside. Delicious and different. We also got a side of linguica hash...ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

Though I don't eat it, the eggs Bennie was reported as "good," but didn't elicit the food porn moans my breakfast did. In fact, after tasting my biscuit and gravy, there was an "I wish I got that.". So take that for what it's worth.

The rest of the menu looked fun. From standards to stuffed French Toasts, there was a bunch of stuff I'd be interested to try.

Service was just OK: can of soda and chocolate milk with no straws? Really? No check backs after serving the meal, etc. Not deal breakers, but affected the overall experience.

If I could've done half stars, I'd have gone 3.5 - the place is FOR SURE above average, but not quite at a full four.

Thank Corey G

In a recent trip to Martha's Vineyard, we had breakfast at Biscuits. The menu was traditional breakfast, and we enjoyed our meal. My wife had an omelet which she really enjoyed, and I had eggs with hash and it was very good. Service was good, breakfast came out hot and pretty fast, and it was an overall pleasant experience at a reasonable price. I would return for breakfast on a future trip to Martha's Vineyard.

Husband, daughter and I ventured there on our most recent visit to the island and the line out the door gave a good indication it was going to be worth the wait (we had heard from the locals it was well worth the wait so were prepared). The line moved fairly quickly, about 10 or 15 minutes, and then we were seated in a small but spacious interior. Husband and I ordered the chicken and waffles and daughter the strawberry and cream waffles. All were delicious. The chicken and waffles was a first for me, great crunch on the chicken and not greasy and the waffle was simply delicious, but taking a bite of both with a bit of maple syrup was amazing. Daughter's smile let us know she was enjoying every bite, as well.

The owner and servers were friendly, the jazzy music wonderful and the overall atmosphere and food was so delicious we went back the second day. No wait, as was their last day of the season, but sadly no chicken and waffles and daughter was bummed because she had nibbled mine the day before. More traditional breakfasts were had (I had the Linguica hash and eggs and hubby an omelet – the hash was fantastic and the omelet pleased as well). Linguica is a Portuguese smoke cured sausage – yum.

Visited here only once during our stay but would return again. We had good service although they were busy. It is pretty small inside but they don't pack you in like sardines. Go here if you want a good basic hot fresh breakfast.

Offers traditional breakfast fare, but some more creative menu items as wellmake this place a good treat. The biscuits and gravy were as good or better than what we've gotten down south; and we also enjoyed the cream cheese and strawberry stuffed french toast.
