My husband and I stayed at the Dockside Inn back in 2001. Back then it was quite run down and outdated. So when we were looking for hotels in Oak Bluffs this one came up. I was a bit hesitant, but price wise was the best deal. Well come to find out the place was renovated and looked bright and welcoming. All the rooms were done over as was the lobby. Our room was small, but could not beat the location, we were so close to everything. The best part was Loomis the virtual concierge. We texted so many questions about the island from where to find the best margarita to the history of back door donuts. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely would recommend the Dockside Inn

My mother and I stayed at the Dockside Sunday. My mother is 83 and very spry. We visit Martha's Vineyard every year (she was born there). We usually stay elsewhere, but decided to try the Dockside this year. We were both so impressed! The staff was terrific (Meghan was wonderful, so pleasant and accommodating). The solarium was well stocked with ice cream, goodies, and coffee and tea. They even had fresh donuts in the morning. My mother said she couldn't remember when she had sleep so well. We were both SO pleased. We are thinking about going back again, before the end of the summer. It is definitely our new place to stay whenever we visit The Vineyard.

Room Tip: Our 2nd floor room had a stunning view of the harbor. So beautiful and relaxing.

We made a quick stop on Martha's Vineyard during a New England trip and picked the Dockside Inn based on price, accommodations (we were traveling with a family of 5 and many hotels won't fit 5 in a room), location (we didn't bring a car, so wanted to be able to walk from the ferry) and other Tripadvisor reviews.

We loved the Dockside Inn and are already planning a week long trip to Martha's Vineyard for next summer. Our room (#30) was perfect for our family of 5 and the kids, of course, loved the solarium where they could stop by for snacks or ice cream each time we walked by the room! The staff was so helpful and the location is perfect. Though we were right in the middle of Oak Bluffs, we had a quiet night sleep.

We will be back!

We stayed at the Docksie Inn for 3nights in July. The location is great. It's right across the street from the Oak Bluffs marina where the Hiline cruise ferry docks. It's a block from the Bus stop that operate buses to other towns and Circuit Ave. is a few steps away. The staff was great, especially Mellisa who checked us in and gave great recommendations on what to do and where to eat. We'll definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Martha's Vineyard. The all day snacks were greatly appreciated by the kids.

We decided to stay overnight on Martha's Vineyard on the spur of the moment. We found a room at the Dockside Inn at 9:00am as soon we got off the ferry. The staff was very friendly and allowed us to check in early. They called us as soon as the the room was cleaned. This was so convenient, we could could put our stuff down and freshen up. The room was clean and even had a small refrigerator for cold drinks in the summer. Guests had access to beach chairs and towels, even a cooler to enjoy some time at the beach which is in walking distance. Right outside our room was a lovely shady porch with comfortable seating. The porch looked out over a charming street with shops and restaurants. Across this small street was a walkable dock with boats and pubs along the water. If you take the ferry to Oak Bluffs you can walk to the Dockside Inn. You would not need a car to enjoy your vacation! There is also a bus nearby that can take you to other areas of the island for exploring. Would definitely stay there again!

Room Tip: Ask for a larger room for more than two people.
