There is so much history to Northampton and it is an excellent town to just walk around and take it all in. From Pre-Colonial history to now, it's all here.Great and varied architectural styles, Gothic, Federal, Victorian,ect. Almost everything in this town has historical significance and the 'Historic District is' a good place to start. The Historical Society is located there and there is information available.

Northampton is a 30 minute ride from home and worth the drive. Lots of interesting shops, restaurants and people watching.

This is the eclectic home of the beautiful Smith College. I enjoy walking around at least once a week. It's filled with tasty restaurants, one-of-a-kind shops, street performers & lots of people to watch at all hours. Books have been written about it & movies filmed here. Great architecture. Lots of eclectic places to shop & eat. Its a funky town. It reminds me of California (thats a good thing). Love the fun & funkiness of this town. Its great to stroll up 7 down the Main street.
