This is the eclectic home of the beautiful Smith College. I enjoy walking around at least once a week. It's filled with tasty restaurants, one-of-a-kind shops, street performers & lots of people to watch at all hours. Books have been written about it & movies filmed here. I enjoy walking around at least once a week.

Thank MaJo D

Great architecture. Lots of eclectic places to shop & eat. Its a funky town. It reminds me of California (thats a good thing). Love the fun & funkiness of this town. Its great to stroll up 7 down the Main street.

Great example of downtown preservation, studded with unique shops and restaurants, many occupying impressive former bank buildings from bygone days of (agricultural?) prosperity. Be sure to stop for lunch and a stroll here. A magnet for the homeless, too, but you won't be hassled.

Very nice old downtown walkable with a variety of shops and restaurants. A rail trail runs by town and miles west to Florence and even more miles, over the Connecticut River to Amherst.
