We love diners and this one met all our expectations for an awesome diner. The decor is perfect. You feel like you are in an authentic diner. Now, the food. You get all the standard diner options plus daily specials. The food is really tasty and tastes homemade. I had the beef stew special and my husband got the Thanksgiving sandwich. We shared some fries. Everything was awesome. Now, onto the most important part--- DESSERT!!! There are pies aplenty to choose from. We tried apple a la mode (excellent) and coconut cream (they were out of chocolate cream pie which was my first choice and at first was disappointing but this disappointment was soon forgotten about when I tasted the coconut cream pie which was delicious!). The service was also very good- the waitresses were very friendly. Try this place out, its fun and the food is great.

This place has a great, cheap breakfast with lots of regulars. The decor is typical diner and could benefit from a thorough cleaning. Have tried Dinner here, but the food was merely Okay and the prices were a bit excessive for the quality. If you're looking for a breakfast place in Northampton that doesn't charge Manhattan prices and has a staff that seems like they actually want customers -- and a tip, this place won't disappoint if you remember that it's a diner and not the Waldorf Astoria.

Rainy day activities in Northampton included a lunch with my two grand nieces at the Miss Florence Diner. Portions were large and tasty. The server made appropriate recommendations about sharing a large side of fries between the three of us. My Ruben was well done with a big portion of corned beef. The small mac and cheese of one of my companion's was huge. The other had a BLT which she noted "was a BLT made in the correct order....Toast, then bacon, then lettuce, and then tomato!". The booth's flip type juke box was a hit with three selections for 25 cents (though the buttons wer a bit greasy - I enjoyed the selection of tunes from the 60's, 70's and 80'!)

Great diner food, we loved our omelets along with the ambiance of the 40's and 50's. Good prices, good service, friendly atmosphere. A treat.

Aficionados of a certain timbre of cartoon may recognize the delightfully odd Zippy the Pinhead and his wife, Zerbina. There's a delightful, if bittersweet irony that creator Bill Griffith set the pinhead pair at the Miss Flo for breakfast the morning of 9/11. A soothingly average breakfast in on the soothingly average Main St. of a soothingly average Our Town. Where even the freaks order the eggs over easy.
It's the way a diner should be with burnished wood, juke boxes on the tables, and dependable menu of breakfast all day, BLTs, burgers, and gyros for the daringly exotic. The coffee is strong, the french fries tempting, and the pie deserves a dollop of ice cream.
Get a window table for the Fourth of July parade and watch America march by. It's what Zippy would do.
