The food here was definitely tasty, nothing over the top but decent food for a decent price. The bartenders were super friendly and joking which made for a great experience. Definietly a good place for kids with a lot of family friendly food. Classic American food with a twist and definitely budget friendly. The calamari was great and the burger was decent. They have a very large menu to choose from and the service was quick. Alcoholic drinks were also good- they have a nice selection of beer on draft.

We have been to Fitzwillys a few times, but only for drinks and lunch. This was our first dinner here. There were six of us so my sister was allowed to make a reservation. Our seats were great, overlooking the very busy street. The place was packed with people. I love the interior. It has exposed brick walls, brass pipes, lighted glass above the bar and a genuine Irish Pub feel to it. There was an Irish concert at the Calvin Theater around the corner, so many Irish revelers were in attendance revving up for the show. Our waitress was prompt and the service was great. My meal, however, was disappointing. I ordered chicken enchiladas, which were filled with shredded chicken. The tortillas were very dry, although baked with a small amount of enchilada sauce. The black beans and rice were also quite dry. My sister had a baked scallops dish that she said was delicious. My sister-in-law had chicken rolotini, which she enjoyed. The rest of our party had varied sandwiches, which each described as 'ok'. The price is reasonable and the atmosphere enjoyable. I would stick to drinks and appetizers if I went again. Parking is a real issue in Northampton, and it took several trips around the block before we found a spot. On a side note, the ladies' room was disgusting and much too small for such a large place. One toilet was broken and the working ones had broken locks. There was toilet paper all over the floor. Unpleasant!

The restaurant serves a large variety of food choices to please every family member. It is a great place to get together for a family birthday or special occasion. Most of Northampton restaurant are extremely busy during weekend evenings. I suggest that a reservation be made ahead of time. The restaurant is located at the lower end of Main St. and after dinner it is a nice place for a stroll up one side of Main and down the opposite side of Main on the way back to your vehicle. It is suggested to park in the city parking garage as it is difficult to find a parking place near Fitzwilly's restaurant. A walk will also be a good way to view the many restaurants and stores in the Main St. area. Calvin Coolidge was the mayor of Northampton and has a small museum in the Forbes Library to explore some history about him. Sylvester's restaurant was the home of he discovery of the graham cracker.

Great place to go with freinds or on a date; a good variety of food, although there were many people and were told there was a wait, it wasn't long at all. Good drinks, great food, good portion sizes, reasonable prices, we had a few unusual items that were awesome! Loved bringing friends here that had never been.
