I stayed in this hotel for two nights. Service was good but the whole experience was marred by the thin walls. The neighbours made so much noise in the middle of the night. Front desk was apologetic about the noise but suggested I turn on the heating to block out the sound. It seemed to me they were afraid the confront the guests making the noise,

Had dinner but food was so so. it is in a quaint hotel and near the main street. Location wise - no complaints,

I would like to start by thanking you for choosing the Hotel Northampton. Unfortunately due to the historic nature of the property some rooms are more prone to noise than others. I apologize for this noise issue not being resolved that evening. I have re-addressed how to resolve a noise issue with our front desk team.

There are rooms that are in quieter areas of the hotel. If you do choose to stay with us again we will make sure to place you into one of those rooms to give you a more pleasant experience. We truly value your business and hope you will choose us in the future for your lodging needs.

Respectfully,
Hilary W.

Gorgeous rooms, view and facility. A true New England gem! The beds were so comfortable, it was hard to get out of bed! The TV either needed to be closer to the beds or they should get larger ones, for it was hard to watch at such a distance. An in room refrigerator would be an added plus. But do not hesitate staying here!

Really enjoyed our stay! Nice hotel. We were at the hotel for just one night to see a show at the Calvin Theater across the street. Check in was very easy and the staff very friendly. Our room was large and clean, the only thing I needed was more power plugs, the ones in the room were in odd locations. Did not eat at the hotel but we did drink at the bar and it was very nice with a great fireplace. Located so close to many great stores and restaurants, you can't beat it. I'd much rather stay at the Hotel Northampton than at the other generic hotels in the area.

I had several rooms at the hotel to attend an opera performance at The Academy of Music. It was a wonderful hotel, the rooms were spacious, warm and comfortable- if not a bit dated. The hotel was grand and centered in the middle of a lovely country town. It has a classic lobby and restaurant, fronted with towering glass walls. The Wiggins tavern, a few steps down, had fireplaces and a warmth that was vintage New England. The hotel proved to be a very popular gathering spot through all of my stay. It's a college town, with a lot of interesting stores and restaurants - everything you need is just around the corner! The staff was very helpful and friendly, even the housekeepers were a delight. It's not the Four Seasons, but it beats any modern-day chain by a mile. It was a delightful experience at a reasonable price.

We stayed overnight here on January 24, 2013. Had tickets to a show at the Calvin Theater so it was great that it was right across the street. Great accommodations - stayed in a room with another couple and it was enough space and comfortable. Beds were a little on the hard side but it was fine for one night. We had dinner in the pub - food was great and our server was super friendly (we went back at the end of the night for cocktails). Continental breakfast was great the next morning. Overall I would definitely stay there again - it was perfect for a night out in Northampton - great little town to walk around!
