I've been coming here from Portland to see my daughter who attends Smith. I've been to 90% of the restaurants in town and this is by far the finest.
Lovely, low key atmosphere. Great wait staff who are charming and down to earth. Every meal we've had, including tonight's, has been first-rate. Great wine list including Pacific NW.
Tonight we started with gnocchi and swordfish carpaccio, which were light and memorable. We split a fine salad with tasty greens and cheese pom poms. Daughter had succulent duck. I had a hearty lamb shank. Waitress recommended an excellent French burgundy.
Why this restaurant isn't #1 on Trip Advisor astounds me! One of the best restaurants I've ever enjoyed.
