“We can't wait to return!!!!”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

The first week of September was our first visit to Sandbars and it certainly will not be our last. The room was spotless, the kitchen and cooking utinsels were immaculate and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The kitchen was so well appointed that we only ate dinner out once, all other meals were cooked in our room. (Mac's Seafood market in Truro Center cooks Lobsters to order and also prepares raw platters which were perfect to enjoy in our room at Sandbars). The bed was comfy and the linens were top notch. Even on a rainy day being able to look out onto the private beach and ocean made the day enjoyable. A HUGE plus is that the Inn is pet friendly. Our dog "Dana" was welcomed and also had a great stay at Sandbars. We can't wait to return to Sandbars!

We stayed at The Sandbars Inn the last week in August and can't wait to return.

The location is perfect, on the Bay Side beach, very nice sunsets, relaxing location. Shuttle across the street to PTown. Full kitchen, great balcony for morning coffee and sunsets.

Clean, spotless room and friendly staff.

We just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks at the Sandbars. This must have been my sixth or seventh visit to this property and I hated to leave every time. The Motel has lovely well appointed rooms facing the water, a large beach and is competently run by Pattie and Brian. There are cheaper places in Truro, but none as nice as the Sandbars... I love to go back every time...

Room Tip: We like the upstairs, buts its all a matter of preference

We loved our vacations, rooms were very clean ( but very humids, should aslo have a ventilator in the bathrooms).

Nice beach, nice sand, but dont imagine to swim in a clean water, lot lot of seeweeds, and they dont clean the beach, so you will have to walk in dry seeweeds to access the water. without seeweeds, almost paradise.

My husband and I spent five nights at Sandbars in mid-July. We were both looking for a quiet place with a beautiful water view where we could just sit and relax and stare out at the water if that was all we felt like doing. But we didn't want to be too far away from good restaurants and civilization. Sandbars turned out to be the perfect spot for us.

The room was pretty and extremely clean. The bed and bedding were much nicer than an average hotel room. There was no closet, but there are tons of drawers, as well as an armoire so that you can hang things up. Having a full size refrigerator for chilling wine, beer and snacks was great. We didn't do any cooking, but it was nice to know that we could have. Our second floor room had a gorgeous view of the private beach, the water, and Provincetown. We spent lots of time on our little balcony overlooking the water, as well as several hours on the private beach most days, just reading, wading and collecting rocks. The private beach never seemed to have more than 10 people on it at any one time during our stay, which was great. The vibe at Sandbars is very low-key, without a lot of rules and regulations. The innkeepers treat their guests like the grown-ups they are. They were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. It was nice to come for a beachfront vacation and have so much provided for you - beach towels, lounge chairs, floats, grills, etc.

The location is terrific. Provincetown is about a three-minute drive down the beachfront road. So you get the perfect combination of quiet/serene/relaxing beachfront place that just happens to be near all sorts of good restaurants, shops, galleries and fun. The room rate was pretty high, but when you're looking for waterfront accommodations on the Cape during high season, you're going to have to pay for it. This may have been the most we've ever paid for a room, but we both agreed that we'd come back to Sandbars because it was worth it. Thanks for a great week, Sandbars!

Although the room was small it was clean and right on the beach. I wish there was a place to sit besides on the bed. Kitchen was good. After we had left I realized we had left the thermos that was our vacation plan gift. We were assured if they did not find it a new one would be sent to us. Never happened. When I called a second time I was told they did not find it.(It was left on the counter, still in the box.). I was then told they were closing for the season and wouldn't send another one.

We just returned from our 3rd visit to Sandbars on Cape Cod Bay. Our room is always immaculate and view is spectacular. Pattee and Brian are friendly, helpful and gracious hosts, which is a major reason why we keep coming back. Every time we visit we've wanted to extend our scheduled stay. In years past we have stayed at other inns and motels as we toured the Cape. Now we just head straight to North Truro, nothing else comes close to the wonderful experience we have at Sandbars.

We wanted to mention that when we checked out in June we left behind some articles of clothing. Pattee and Brian packaged them up and sent them back to us priority post. We offered to pay the shipping but they insisted that it wasn't necessary. Just another example their caring hospitality.
