We live 2 miles from Montano's, and used to go their a lot before we moved up to the Cape full-time a few years back. Since then we normally only did "take-out" from there, as we knew the food was good and it was close and easy.
Last night we decided to go out for dinner, and didn't feel like driving, so we went to Montano's, and got a really great surprise. First, they had re-done the entire interior since we were their last, and the place seems more spacious, warm and comfortable. Second, they still give you a loaf of piping hot, fresh, home made bread with a side of excellent extra virgin olive oil and shredded cheese to enjoy with your cocktails. Third, the food was excellent and we would say a notch above the already good food we were used to getting their. I had the special - scallops marsala on home made pasta, which were excellent (and I know scallops, being from around here - they were FRESH), and my wife had veal marsala. Passed on the homemade desserts, as we had "just enough" with the entre's.
