Description: Since 1988, Montano's Restaurant has been treating residents and visitors of North Truro alike to authentic Italian cuisine that's made from scratch the old fashioned way. With pasta that's crafted in-house and cooked to order, homemade sauces, and pizza dough that's made fresh daily, it's easy to see why we've become a local favorite. You'll be welcomed in with warm and inviting service as you relax and look over our menu. Our dishes feature local seafood that's freshly caught as well as dry aged USDA Prime Meats for steak that's intensified in flavor and cooked to perfection. Whether you're tasting our New Haven style pizza or our eggplant parmesan, you'll feel like you're dining in Italy without leaving Cape Cod.

Had start-of-season service issues, but after the food got to us it was lights out great with a boar ragu! Her Pappardelle was also fine & the salad was AOK. Couldn't finish our food, but desserts looked equally up-to-snuff.

After giving this restaurant a less than stellar review in 2010 we decided to check out the reviews again. The latest reviews all showed that the place had regained its former great food. We stopped in and ordered 2 drinks that were quickly served by a very friendly waitstaff. Both entrees were excellently prepared and had great flavor along with an appealing presentation.
Our previous experiences have been erased from our memory and we once again will be frequenting this restaurant.

We just hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner at Montano‘s for (a mere) 60 people. Let me tell you that Bob Montano knows what he’s doing. He was incredibly flexible to work with and had excellent suggestions helping us select the buffet menu and arrange the tables for seating. He understands how things work, he knows the restaurant business, and he has an incredible helpful, knowledgeable staff.

Then the food: everything was freshly prepared, presented well, perfectly timed, and hot delicious food kept coming from the kitchen as the guests filled their plates. And again, great flexibility shown in accommodating guests’ dietary requirements. Everyone was so satisfied and happy that no one wanted to leave!

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish and look forward to returning when we are back in the area.

Don't be fooled by the look of Montano's-it has the appearance of a place that has seen better days. Our meal started with our waitress coming to the table with a warm crusty loaf if bread. She proceeded to grate a mountain of Parmesan (or Romano?) cheese into a plate which she surrounded with a moat of olive oil for dipping. Four of us polished that off in a flash. Yum. The Cesar salads were delicious & for those who liked them were topped w/ anchovies. One of us ordered a vegetable pizza which was crisp on the bottom and loaded w/ roasted veggies and LOTS of cheese. He managed to eat half--how I can't imagine as it was large enough to satisfy 4 people! Another entree chosen was the boar ragout. It was meaty and savory w/fresh thick pasta cooked just al dente. I had a taste and it was delicious. Two of us couldn't pass up the shrimp scampi. WOW! Five huge shrimp surrounded by thick linguini (made fresh in their kitchen) The sauce had big slices of garlic and just enough butter & cream to hold it together. I'm greatly looking forward to the leftover pasta for lunch and I'm hoping I can work a half trade w/ my husband for a share of his leftover boar! We ordered a tiramisu to go. I'm glad we only ordered one as it was more than large enough for two. It was light and glorious-the lady fingers airy & the mascarpone sweetened just enough and it had just the right amount of coffee liqueur. We'll definitely return the next time we visit Cape Cod!!!
