Simply Adrian's, or Adrian's, is co-located with the Outer Beach Resortoin a hill right on Route 6 in North Truro, and it offers beautiful views and a bright airy dining room. The more casual outdoor patio offers the additional benefit of an eyeful of sunset.

Adrian's serves as a breakfast and dinner restaurant for the Outer Beach Resort, and its Sunday brunch stands alone by itself. The dinner menu features regional Italian cuisine, and it gets high marks for it’s authenticity, innovation and fresh cuisine.

Back to the Sunday brunch, which is quite comprehensive with lots of local dishes, including clam chowder, oysters on the half shell, and lobster benedict - you have to try this.

Adrian's is great if you are staying at the Outer Beach Resort - good food and service without driving into P'town - but it is a bit "out of the way" for those staying in P'town or Wellfleet.

We were here 7 years ago and really enjoyed it so we were really looking forward to bringing our friends here. We were the first customers for dinner and was turned off when they stuck us in a corner in the back away from the window. When we asked for a window seat the servers looked annoyed. Our appetizers were very good but when the main meal came so did the disappointment. Two of us got the duck which was barely warm. We sent back and still not too hot. The duck was tasteless and the Johnny cakes were soggy. 2 others got the scallops which I am told could have been seasoned more and the veggies it came with not too appetizing. Our server although not too attentive was friendly enough until we didn't order dessert and then he seemed annoyed. The prices were high for an unimpressive meal. I won't be going back. Nice location though as it is up on a hill where you get a nice view of the bay but the view isn't worth the price and poor service and disappointing food.

We had high hopes for Adrian's restaurant but were a bit disappointed. The menu is very limited (only 8 entrees to choose from). Only 3 sea food, 5 meat, and no vegetarian options. We saw the menu before we went so we were expecting that only having a few selections to choose from; and thought it would mean that they would all be excellent, but their taste was ordinary. The menu's description didn't live up to what was actually served. Portion sizes are small and dishes are pricey (between $25 - 30 each). Due to the size, you'll need an appetizer which ranges from $10 - $15. For example, I had the "Roasted Duck, Johnny cakes, maple jus and sunchoke-cabbage hash". That was two pieces of duck breast about 2" long, 1" wide and 1/2 thick. It was not very tender. The Johnny cake (basically bread was the size and thickness of a silver dollar) and the hash looked like burnt arugula. The flavor was OK, but not at all special. Someone else had the "Roasted cape-tip Cod, salsa verde, petite veggies, grilled lemon puree and cumin cake". Which was described as rather bland and too small to satisfy hunger. The winning dish, taste-wise, was a scallop and bacon creation. The Clam chowder was also tasty.
There were 8 of us dining, 4 kids and 4 adults. One child had the kids meal of chicken fingers (3 small fingers and no fries for $10). The older kids did found something to eat, since they have adventurous pallets. However, many of the items on the menu are not standard fare, so its hard for kids to order.
If its a nice night, you could sit out on the deck and watch the sunset.
The service was good and attentive.
Due to the price and limited menu, I would not recommend this restaurant to families with kids, unless they are like to try different things. Perhaps if you knew exactly what the best entrees were, I'd consider going back, but not likely due to all the other delicious restaurants in the Provincetown and Truro area.

After a terrible experience at the Blackfish where I got up and left the restaurant, we decided to go to Adrian's.

We know the place well and we were happy to see some changes in the décor.

The waiting staff was extremely friendly and the food was beyond any expectation! We shared the fish "charcuterie", really nicely presented on a board with homemade pickled vegetables, fish rillettes, blue fish pâté, smoked salmon and beet infused scallops. That was very yummy! The other appetizer was bacon wrapped dates with goat cheese: 3 big meaty dates, very tasty. I didn't think I would order a pizza for an entrée but they looked so good on the menu...I ordered the duck confit pizza :-) What a great idea to feature duck confit on a pizza. It was so good, I had to take the 2 slices left back home with me.

My only crticizm would be the long time we had to wait between the appetizer and the main course but apart from that, I would highly recommend the new Adrian's!

Attempting to locate finer food closer to where we were staying we tried Adrian's tonight. Maybe after terrific meals at The Beachcomber for lunches and Mac's Shack and Blackfish for dinners we have been spoiled by Wellfleet and Truro's freshest and tastiest seafoods? Adrian's appetizers were boring and very small portions. The figs were the best appetizer but shouldn't have been. The entrees were also uneventful. From the cod to the black spaghetti w/ clams to the chicken; all were a tremendous disappointment. We skipped dessert and truly couldn't wait to get out of there. For the price there are MUCH better dining experiences within 15 minutes of North Truro.
