My husband and I stayed one night in N Adams and came down with horrible chest colds and sore throats. We drove around looking for a healthy option and stumbled upon this great little gem! The woman behind the counter was very nice and helpful. We each had a smoothie and the ingredients were all fresh fruits and veggies; not mixes or powders. We also purchased an Apple Cidar Vinegar fire water that really helped with our colds. We had wished we found this place the night before for dinner as the salads and soups looked and smelled great and we had a hard time finding something healthy in town.

Great healthy options. Excited that North County has a smoothie shop. Delivery options available. It's delicious too!

I was intrigued to find a simple new cafe on Ashland Street in North Adams called Eat to Total Health. The owner Renee Tassone has celiac disease and after changing her diet to gluten free and vegan her health has improved significantly. She has no medical or nutritional background but has done a lot of research which has inspired her to concentrate on a plant based diet with no animal food. She started to cook dishes in her home and delivering them to people who benefit by a special diet. This led to the opening of the cafe at 14 Ashland Street a few weeks ago.

Her menu changes daily and all iingredients are local, vegan, allergy free and gluten free. Her web site will tell you what she is serving on any day at www.eattototalhealth.com The dishes displayed in her glass fronted refrigerator can be eaten in or taken out. She also makes a variety of delicious smoothies of fresh fruits and vegetables. She also sells organic pet treats, books and movies about nutrition. She is available to share with customers her experience with various foods and has a large following.

There is a well written article about her inside the cafe by Seth Brown for The Transcipt 1/5/2013

My husband and I tried a delicious ginger carrot soup, a tasty apple and almond salsa and a fine Quinoa Refresher salad; although we have not developed a real appreciation for Quinoa yet. There are many tasty sounding soups and salads still to try. A soup will cost $8 or $10 and a salad $8.

This cafe can fill a real need for people looking for a high quality vegan meal.
