“Such a cute neighborhood place”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

I loved loved the atmosphere, they have done a great job creating a cozy, fun neighborhood bistro. Unfortunately the food is not up to par. One gets the sense that you have to know exactly what to order (i.e., there are only a few things that are good). We were not in the know, and our dishes were not good. A real pity.

“As Good As It Gets”
Reviewed December 22, 2012

This was a first visit to Fiorella's since the expansion, and I'm sorry we stayed away so long! As with our previous visits, the food was excellent; we had a salmon special, which may have been this person's favorite Fiorella's dish; a large portion of lasagne (had to take half home), and two shrimp dishes that had an large number of shrimp. All of the meals were delicious, priced well, and delivered quickly and efficiently. We found our waiter, JT, to be especially helpful, as was Mary the Hostess.

We arrived about 6:15 and were seated immediately; in the past, before the expansion, we always had to wait15-30 minutes for a table. It was nice to be able to be seated when we came in.

It won't be too long before we visit Fiorella's again.

“Yum!”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

I had one of my best restaurant meals here the other night. The scallops lemoncello was so good. I love the strips of flat bread with hot marinara sauce that they serve prior to the meal. The wait staff is friendly. Reservations are needed. The restaurant was packed on a week night. The parking lot was full too but they had free valet parking. My one tiny complaint is that it was cold at our table. I can't wait to go back.

“The Locals Know Best”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

I've had the pleasure of dining here on numerous occasions while visiting Boston College.
You can't go wrong with any choice on the menu. Staff and local patrons are friendly.
They make one of the best marinera sauces I've ever enjoyed. It's can be a busy place during
peak evening dining hours but the kitchen handles it efficiently. Enjoy!

“A touch of the North End in Newton”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

Fiorella's is a great spot to enjoy Italian food without the hassle of going into the North End! The menu is an offering of traditional Italian fare and some newer versions. There is usually a wait to get a table, however, you can call ahead if you have a party of six or more and make a reservation. There is an open kitchen with the food preparation in full view of the restaurant. Pastas are fresh and homemade. Deserts are good but not great! Well worth a trip out to Newton to try this restaurant.
