“Delicious Thai food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2012

I might have just found a new favorite place for Thai food in Newton. We've tried the others, and they tend to be inconsistent. The pad thai was delicious, as were the steamed dumplings. The mussels were good, but the broth was a little odd, as was the sauce to accompany the mussels. My husband had the duck and was very happy with his selection and the "real" brown rice that came with it. A huge menu is a big plus.

The food was fresh and flavorful, the staff was welcoming. Excellent value. Walking distance to the Crown Plaza. Would definitely go there again.

“Very good Thai food (with validated garage parking)”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2010

The free garage parking makes all the difference, as this is otherwise a difficult area to find a spot. Park on Bacon Street just behind the restaurant and get your ticket stamped at the restaurant. Enjoyed above average pad thai (very good seasoning, high quality noodles, fresh peanuts, good quality shrimp) steamed dumplings and tom yum shrimp soup (which they call hot and sour). Nice understated decor and friendly staff. A winner.

“Excellent Fresh Thai!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2009

I followed the server's recommendation and ordered a green curry ( w/ chicken) for lunch. The sauce had a nice level of spiciness and wasn't overly heavy. Lot's of veggies and everything tasted fresh.

“Excellent Pad Thai, Hot & Sour Shrimp Soup”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2008

Finding a parking spot was a bit of a hassle but the lunch was excellent.

We started off with Hot & Sour Shrimp soup which was the perfect blend of hot and sour. Shrimp was very fresh, cooked well.

I was running late after trying to park and went with a simple choice of Pad Thai which was really good.

Turns out that there is a garage above the restaurant that patrons can park at for free. That will make my future trips to Amarin much easier.
