Lumiere is very nice, with an excellent wait staff and many interesting and delicious upscale dishes at every course. We have dined there several times over the years. They focus a lot on local ingredients. We went there last week for our anniversary. The menu was nice and they had some interesting specials which were well-described, including the price point for each. Unfortunately we ordered the one off-menu entrée that we weren't told the price of, but we weren't worried since the others were all comparable. Big mistake. We ordered the "rib-eye steak for two." Ok, how bad could it be ... it's a rib-eye. The bill came and our entrée for two came in at a whopping $73 ... with no sides except pomme frites. The steak was tasty and cooked correctly, but nothing to "write home about" ... and certainly nothing so wonderful as to justify the exorbitant price. It put us off. In an area with so many great dining choices, it will certainly be a while before we give Lumiere another try ... and we'll know next time to ASK.
