Good varied menu with experienced staff that are efficient and very pleasant. Although crowded during a summer lunchtime crush we were seated in a reasonable time given the odd number in our party.

Cute place. Quite a line after 10 am on Sunday - not worth waiting in line but I can't imagine what omelette is... Organic eggs are used and omelette was cooked perfectly! I would definetly return - 4 stars only bc a little pricey. W tip it was $20/person for an omelette and a juice. Plenty of street parking on Sunday am. Lunch and dinner menu looked very good.

This seasonal salad was yummy. There must have been a whole lobster along with salad greens, bacon, egg and full of deliciousness. Great menu, good beers, wonderful service AND breakfast all day!!

Some nights when we go the food and service is amazing. Other nights the service is off.

The last time we went the food was good. The kids LOVE the pancakes.

Earlier in the year we went and we called ahead, and our table for six was being held for us. . . . but when we got there it was a 20 minute wait. . . . not what I was expecting.

The last time, the hostess tried to crowd our family of four into a table of two. We refused and waited. She tried to do that with another family of four. I realize she was trying to maximize the seating, but no one with two adults and two elementary school aged kids want to crown around a two top. That is a recipe for disaster.

The burger arrived with three of the four items I had asked the waitress not to have, so her 'is everything ok?' was jarring in its insincerity. Moreover, by the time the errors were corrected, which took two requests, the meat was no longer hot. The French fries were not crispy, but a bit limp. I gather the Rox is known for its sweet potato fries.
We weren't asked whether we wanted dessert or coffee after the main course; rather, the bill was put on the table, even though there was no one waiting. We felt unwelcome to linger and chat.
With so many good choices in Newton, I wouldn't give the Rox a second look.
