“Great bar, but dinner a little pricey”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

The restaurant has a unique selection, but I found the entrees to be a little pricey, although one could get a salad with an upgrade for a reasonable price. I had a wedge salad for $10 and opted to add a lobster tail for an additional $12. The bar is a popular spot for residents and a fun place to hang out. Wine was a little expensive at $9 a glass. Breakfast prices were great. A full 2-egg breakfast with potatoes, bacon/sausage, toast is only $7.

“Yum, yum, yum, for me. Bad for my wallet.”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

Bokx 109 was located conveniently at my hotel, so it was an easy decision when picking the right place to eat.

The appetizers were delicious! I normally don't like tuna, but the tuna nachos were exquisite. The calamari was standard, nothing out of this world or noteworthy.

As far as full meals go, I know that Bokx 109 is known for it's meats, but I went in a different direction. I had the crab cake and our group ordered three sides, family-style. The crab cake was well-cooked and tasty, always a plus. My absolute favorite, though was the short rib mac and cheese. WOW! So good, I stuffed my face with this side. It's pretty big, so you can eat it as your main meal and have leftovers or share with someone and probably still have leftovers.

I split the bill with four coworkers and it came up to $100 each, including drinks, apps, main course, and a shared desert. Ouch! Still a very yummy, though.

“Awesome food, and even better people.”
Reviewed January 10, 2013 via mobile

I am up here on business ALL the time. There is no where like this in the area! I have been coming here for 3 plus years, and it is the best it has ever been. The food, drinks, and wine are all worth the trip alone. However, it is the staff that make you fell like royalty! The bar staff know how to mix the nest drinks (Jay and Noel in particular) and Jay, the General Manager, runs this place like a well oiled service machine! I even lost my phone night and Jay left for an over an hour to pick it up from a guest who accidentally brought it home! Unbelievable service and always a smile.

Definitely check this place out. Veal chop kicks, octopus is kiler, and the staff always makes it like home.

“Rich Comfort Food”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

The menu is perfect for a decadent rich meal, or looking for comfort food. I found it a bit tough to find a light, less expensive healthy meal. Tuna tacos were amazing.
