For anyone on a tight budget, this sushi place offers high quality options for a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

“Don't judge the quality by its cover.”
Reviewed April 9, 2013 via mobile

If you want the world's best sweet potato maki and shrimp tempura maki, you must try Sushi Man To Go. Please don't let the appearance of the building or it's location fool you. I'm a hard core raw fish sushi person. But since my first visit to sushi man to go, I now see why people can't get enough of them. The fish on top of sushi are generously cut. Edamame is always on the house, even for a takeout. We often phone order on the way home, pick it up 10 to 15 minutes later. I find the location to be ideal, right on rt 9 on the way home. Perfect for take out sushi. Oh by the way, Sushi Man To Go and the chinese takeout righ next door, have nothing to do with each other. Sushi Man is owned and operated by a Japanese family. This is not a place to take your date. But an ideal place for solo diners to sit at the bar and/or families with young children. Very casual dining.

“Good sushi”
Reviewed September 28, 2012 via mobile

I was at sushi man during the month of February, and I loved it, the sushi was very affordable, and it was good. The people working there, I think the owners, are nice and polite. The position of the restaurant is a little uncomfortable, but I don' t think a restaurant should be judged by the location. Next time I will come back to Boston, I will certnaly come back to sushi man.

“People are very nice”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

The location is very awkward and you feel like your walking into a place that is temporary. However, the people who work there are very nice and accommodating

“Not Quite What You Want”
Reviewed June 13, 2011

This is a low cost sushi place, perhaps catering to the need of Asian students that do not have much to spend (most Asian students have a lot to spend though!). It is not particularly clear, taste and quality of fish is suspect a bit and just overall misses the mark. It is next to an even cheaper/greasier Chinese restaurant that I would never ever go to. There are a few parking spaces, and not many seats. Most people get take out. Unless you are a teenager, never bring a date there. Supermarket sushi is equal or better quality. Every single other sushi restaurant in Newton/Brookline is better in taste and quality.
