We recently celebrated my daughter's wedding with a small family (15 people) get together at the Grog. We were treated extremely well from the very beginning. They let us use their second floor for a private dinner and provided us with a bartender/server who catered to our every need. She was wonderful! The function manager was great, making sure everything was going well, helped with the champagne toast and even brought crayons out for the 4 little ones. The appetizers, which we preordered, were great and came out as soon as we got there, just like we asked. When it was time for dinner, we ordered our meals off their regular menu. My steak tips were cooked perfectly, a little too much garlic for my taste, but none the less delicious and I cleaned my plate. Some of the other meals ordered were: broiled haddock, crabcake, salmon roulade, lobster risotto, too many different meals to list here. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We had brought in a small wedding cake and the server made sure we had plenty of dessert plates and forks for when the bride & groom cut it. We never felt rushed. It was a wonderful relaxed time. There were no complaints. It was the perfect place to end a perfect day.
