We recently stayed at the Clark Currier Inn in Newburyport, MA. It's a wonderfully restored inn, very near the center of town. The room was quite comfortable, the common area were very cozy and nicely decorated, and the hospitality was excellent. Breakfast was good, a continental breakfast, but if you're looking for a full, homemade inn breakfast, that's not available. Overall, a very pleasant visit and good value.

The Inn is centrally located in Newburyport. The Inn was built in 1804 and it still has most of the orginal archetectural features of the period. We had the "Nolan Suite" which has two bedrooms with a sitting room in between. The beds were very comfortable and the suite was clean and well decorated. Our room was on the 2nd. floor and we requested help getting our luggage upstairs. The Inn provided breakfast with fresh baked bread, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, and coffee and tea. Parking was avaliable behind the Inn. We walked from the Inn to the shopping area and down to the water. Even though it was early September there were still beautiful flowers and landscapes all around the area.

Wow, was a wonderful stay. The house was beautiful, owner very cordial and the breakfast was great as well. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. It was within walking distance to their quaint downtown. If I get back that way, I will definitely book there again.

We stayed at Clark Currier Inn for two nights on a weekend. We have stayed at many B and B's in the Northeast and feel we can easily compare the various aspects.

Positives: close to town (walking distance), good parking, window AC unit was very cool, water bottles in room, comfy bed, the proprietors were very nice and helpful.

Room for improvement:
-The bathroom: the small bathroom and stall shower were a bummer (moldy/mildewy shower curtain was a total turn-off) and the shower head was missing/spraying/doing something weird.
-Breakfast. When we stay at a B and B we expect a REAL breakfast. While the fruit, yogurt and breads were nice, it's not a B and B without a proper hot breakfast.
-Sheets. This is a minor point, but we really love crisp white sheets and felt like white sheets would make it seems more upscale for a small price.

In short, it was nice and comfortable and fine, but an underwhelming experience and we would probably stay somewhere else next time. (FWIW we stayed in the Tedford room - it was on the third floor and seemed a bit larger than some others.)

We met for a mini-reunion of high school friends. The Sargeant Room where we stayed was very spacious, 3 beds, with each bed in its own corner it didn't feel like we were crowded on top of each other. I would definitely recommend this inn. The owners were great! Although breakfast ends at 9am and not 10am as we thought. Oh, and the shower was incredible!

We recently spent 3 nights at this outstanding B&B in the heart of Newburyport & we were in no way dissapointed with our choice of accommodation. Our room on the ground floor was spacious, & very well appointed. Our big antique iron bed was very comfortable & everything was spotlessly clean. The inns host, Bob Nolan, offers up a healthy breakfast each morning in the dining room. Breakfast consisted of a choice of a plentiful supply of seasonal fruits, cereals, yoghurt, muffins etc. & was enough for us to start us off for the day. Bob was always on hand to share his knowledge of the surrounding area & its history. The house is situated on a quiet street just a short stroll to the water & Newburyports main street, The inn has a beautiful garden, parking is off street & free wifi was a real plus. Our stay met all of our expectations & we will definitely choose the Clark Currier Inn on our next visit to the area.
