“The restaurant not the bar downstairs”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

All four of us had excellent meals. The decor, except for the fireplace needs to be updated. So we were especially surprised at how delicious and well-presented the food was. They did an amazing job with the vegetarian option.

“One of the reasons we moved to Newburyport”

When our children were younger (<8 yrs), we would go to have a peaceful dinner (after visiting their grandparents) while they ate and played in David's babysitting room. It doesn't hurt that the food is excellent as well. My favorite is the seared sesame tuna.

“My enjoyable night at Davids”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

The great entertainment and fantastic selection of foods on the menu, the efficient time of getting my meal to the table from a most friendly waitress.

I found that the band that played at the Tavern had a great variety of music for all ages of people while eating and staying around longer to listen through the night.

“Definitely not your Average Joes”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

First impressions are its dark. And for a friday night you could get a table .We went downstairs to a bar that had a restraurant area .We were quickly shown to our table for 4. The server quickly took our drinks order and bought the menus .With all the menus and bread in a basket she bought There was not enough room for 4 people the table was only the size of a side table for outside use. I put the menus on the floor.I ordered The Jerk Salmon which was nice but the portion was very small all there was on the plate was a small piece of salmon 4 slices of sweet potatoes and a portion of spinach it was expensive for what you got on your plate and I still felt hungry. My friends said Their burgers were nice and there portions looked good.
To make things worse we were given someone else s bill which was $100 more.
We shall not go back .Friendly and quick service but some dishes over priced and small.
