“Very solid Indian food”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

This is a very good Indian restaurant with a nice decor. A fine spot for dinner with friends. The staff is helpful for those not fully familiar with Indian cuisine. The mango lhasis are excellent. There’s a full bar, and you can also go for just early or late drinks.

“Other reviews spot on!”
Reviewed September 9, 2013 via mobile

A group of nine friends met here for dinner. Our experience confirmed the other reviews. Food was good, but prices were a little higher than other Indian places for similar dishes. And service was strange...twice they confused us by combining orders from different friends into the same plate and serving it with no explanation until we asked if we were missing an order...strange. And the decor at first glance seems okay, but after a little closer inspection needs updating.

“Delightful!”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

We live close to Masala Art, and we feel very lucky to have such a great Indian restaurant nearby. The food is always great, fresh, and just the right level of spiciness for everyone. For the kids they will do a mild dish, but you can ask for your meal to be nice and spicy, and you won't be disappointed. The variety of offerings is wide, and I haven't ever had a bad meal. Try the Spice Bar, if you can. You will need to reserve well ahead, but it is delicious and fun watching the chef cook for you. You can ask all the questions you want and hear the history or inspiration for the dish. A family favorite is the lunchtime buffet: you have lots of vegetarian and carnivore options, plus there is a "dosa" and "chana battura" bar. If you haven't tried either of these, be prepared to call them your new favorite Indian food.

“Great Indian Food, but a bit pricey”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

We love both going to this restaurant and getting takeout. The food is delicious and very authentic Indian. The restaurant has a very family-friendly atmosphere and many options for kids to eat. However, the food is on the spicey side, so those who don't like a lot spice should ask for mild. It is also on the expensive side, but worth the treat.
