This is a little gem tucked away in Needham Center - along the rail road tracks. It is small but manages to have a good number of tables... warm and cozy... the owner is very proud of the place and is often there happy to talk about wine, food, his restaurant.

This one of our favored restaurants in Needham. Food is always well prepared, tasty, and of ample portions. Wine/Bar selection very good.

Is a little cramped and noisy on a weekend night, but if you time it right, you can have nice quiet evening dining experience.

No complaints at all of this place. Recommend highly to anyone looking for a good high end date dinner, nice couple night out dinner, special occasion dinner.

Cost wise it is on the pricey side for a casual dinner, but not outrageous for a special event. Most times we have eaten there it is $100-$130 including tax/tip for 2 people depending on the number of drinks and dessert or not.

This small restaurant in Boston's Metro West is full of atmosphere and friendliness coupled with a varied menu which offers smaller portions as well as full portions. The co-owner, Steve, greets all guests at the door. The menu changes seasonally and represents a good complement of American style food dishes. Somewhat limited beverage menu but the quality of food and service more than makes up for that shortcoming. Only open at dinner.

Adventurous eating is not the forte, rather basics excellently prepared with attentive service is what one can count on. Tonight my date had the pork tenderloin and I went with the lamb chops - both were outstanding. We ended with a shared hot fudge sundae! Steve, Karen, Sandy, Vanessa, and the entire staff can be counted on for attention to detail, well prepared food, served in a warm and pleasant dining spot.

We'd eaten at Fava's, the former restaurant at this location, numerous times, and decided to try the Center Cafe. The interior of the old train station is much brighter and appealing, with good lighting, and while it was almost full the noise was also better than before. The owner was welcoming, and the service was fine. Half-portions of salad were a perfect starter, and my Caesar salad was excellent. My wife enjoyed her salmon pasta, while I had excellent duck breast that was rosey and delicious. The wine list has a good selection of moderately priced choices. This is a good addition to the Needham dining scene, and we will be back.
