Rows and rows of furniture. Interactive. Some of the sales people are pushy, others are just right, others disinterested - hit or miss. IMAX is expensive but always fun, and with Kellys attached, fried clams are always a treat. We sometimes enjoy just the browse. Beware, they do carry a significant number of CHINA made products, so buyer, ask.

Their clearance center is the best around! I got an awesome couch for less than $250. It is very soft and comfortable, yet supportive at the same time.

With the New Orleans Jazz themed show, plus good prices, they make this a fun place to visit or shop. There is also an IMAX theatre located here, where you can see recent IMAX releases.

I have been traveling the 1/2 hour to visit this store every time I have guests in town or folks that have not been here before. You are greeted with a string of mardi-gras beads as you enter, and you walk down the French quarter to an area where they have a show that can not be described. You can purchase an ice cream at the Street Car named Desire and the proceeds goes to charity. You can just enjoy the show. Unfortunately there are no seats you have to stand around, but the time goes by fast and you have a ball when it happens. Meanwhile you can wander the unique furniture store and partake of the food at Kelly's Restaurant, inside. Afterwards you can go to the Imax theater there. It really is a different experience than furniture shopping and they gain a friend for life as well as purchasing their furniture.

Upon one's first visit you can become overwhelmed with all the variety and choices you can make. Our purchase goes back to those ads if you get this set we throw the TV in from Paul's TV service yadda yadda yadda.
Reflecting back on the purchase however we found alot of deceptiveness in the salesman's interpretation with exactly how much one had to spend to obtain the TV. We also found that what was depicted, as in "you get everything you see" wasn't quite true so it was false and deceptive advertising. When we meandered over to the TV place thinking we had resolved the furniture issue we were queued for an upgrade at a small cost. A big screen TV that had a warranty on it that covered service, parts and top to bottom, left to right according to our salesman for just a few hundred more.

so we speed up to find the stand was going to be delayed by several weeks and required managment intervention to get it shipped at least one week after the TV had arrived. Nothing like have a 72" tv sitting on the floor drawing the attnetion of family cats.... Then we find an issue with the leather chair that required a visit from their repair technician. The other items are too plentiful to bore you with but let's say that we cancelled several furniture pieces.

Now, let's fast forward to a tad short of 3 years later. The TV goes out with a pop. Hello Pauls, need service.

Pauls, Ok - do you have an extended warranty? Yes we do but not handy can you look it up.

Pauls, sure - here you go and here is their number.

Hello Extended Warranty, Pauls TV tells us you will provide service and installation of the part.

EW; No, we don't provide service that is a responsibility of Pauls TV - we just hsip you the part if it's under warranty? So how do we know if it's under warranty? EW; you will need to get a service technician to come out to inspect the unit.

Hello, Pauls TV here is what they said. Pauls TV, no we don't provide service and you should contact mitsubishi and tell them what one of their service operations is say.

Hello Mistubishi, here is what Pauls tells us to do. Mitsu: Do you have a Mitsubishi extended warranty? No, we have an extended warranty thru Pauls and here it is. Mitsu- sorry not one of ours you need to contact Pauls.

Hello Pauls, here is what Mitsu says. Where is there a technician that can install this part that has been identified as the problem. Pauls; based on your zipcode the technician for your area is in Athol (about 1.5 hours away).

Hello Athol? Explain situation what will it cost to replace the part. Athol: Well there will be a $40 visit charge and a $50 evaluation charge and $35.00 to install the part. No, i don't need an evaluation. Athol: Ok, in that case there will be a $40 visit charge and a $35 install chareg and a $50 evaluation chared. AAAAHAH! Thus when could this be done? Athol: I will have the service person call you to schedule.

Several days later, no call and it appears i have been dealing with Atholes this entire journey. The part arrives and I contact the EW who informs me that if I don't return the failed part w/i 7 days (at my expense) they will cancel the rest of the extended warranty.

Thus, this was my experience. Incidently, we also attended an IMAX presentation and aside from first come, first serve it require no dealing with Atholes!
