“Locals, weekenders united!”

Finally happened to go! What a treasure! Loved the hometown atmosphere and cozy ambiance. The yogurt and granola was A-Mazing! Would order again and again. Beware of the large pancakes! They require a doggy bag. The syrup is their own and so yummy. My kids were reluctant to go to this place but loved it in the end. Breakfast burritos and omelets were outstanding. Fair prices. Enjoy!

“Charming roadside cafe with homestyle cooking”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

Charming rustic cafe in heart of Berkshires. Always have fresh menu items on their Specials. I ordered veggie burger which was homemade that came with very fresh salad (believe it comes from their gardens) with homemade fresh creamy dill dressing. Very good prices.

“Don't come if you are in a hurry!”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

The Roadside Store has been a place I've eaten at for almost 30 years. Its been in existence since way before that! What has never changed over that time: this is a place you can always get a delicious breakfast and a warm welcome.

Roadside Store is a part of Gould Farm which is a local nonprofit serving adults with mental health challenges. So your dollar goes to a whole lot more than just that egg and toast you are eating!

When you come to the Roadside, do yourself a favor and take your time. Both to enjoy the food and atmosphere and to match the slower pace of Roadside and Monterey. You're in the country: breathe and smile!

Anything on the menu is excellent. My favorite time of year to visit: dead of winter on a weekday for breakfast. The definition of idyllic is watching the snow fall outside the Roadside windows as I drink my coffee.

“Fun, groovy vibes, delicious!”
Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

Breakfast and lunch - delicious, local ingredients, very reasonable prices, casual atmosphere, groovy vibes, I'd say! Funky, not fancy. Friendly, warm and fun. They are known for their pancakes, but I had a perfectly grilled burger and my wife had a BLT. Superior.

“Pancake lovers”
Reviewed July 21, 2013 via mobile

Pancakes are huge and tasty. Served with real maple syrup. Breakfast burrito made with your choice of fillings. Ask for local mushrooms just picked. Nice selection of teas stored in mason jars. Many ingredents come from the farm. The sausage is lean and tasty and from the farm pig. The ham is from the farm and is smoked locally. Funky little place. Now closed Sunday and Monday. Crazy to close Sunday.
