It was our pleasure to stay "On Cranberry Pond" on our recent travels south. It was the name that first caught our interest with its old world charm, and it certainly lived up to all our expectations. The proprietors, Jeannine and Ken, could not have been more warm and welcoming and Jeannine's renowned prowess in the kitchen made breakfast the best meal of the day!

We found it to be ideally located, in the centre of so much rich history in that area, and would highly recommend visiting this delightful B&B!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Rose room and it was perfect. The whole ground floor in B&B, so lots of room t...

We have been yearly guests at On Cranberry Pond. As a native who moved away, we come home to visit my family around the holidays and for special family events. Staying at the Inn allows us to visit family without it being hectic. We are so thankful to have such a wonderful place to stay. Jeanine and Kenny keep us feeling relaxed and remind us that we are on vacation.
Jeanine and Kenny start our day off with wonderful company and conversation and of course, Jeanine's marvelous breakfasts. There is always something new and she is ready with options.
The Inn and grounds are very well maintained, homey and comfortable. I recommend taking a walk on the trail to the pond or just sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee in the morning.
The rooms and beds are beautiful. Jeanine is always asking if you need anything and how everything is going. She is so accommodating and a wonderful Innkeeper.

On Cranberry Pond is a quiet respite that we look forward to every year.

Jennifer & Michael M.

Room Tip: The Rose Room is our favorite.

My husband and I had the good fortune to stay at this simply breathtaking B&B. We have traveled the United States over the last 27yrs staying at many B&B's. This by far was our favorite! We came up to New England to bring our two children to college. Upon our arrival at the B&B, we were welcomed with genuine hospitaity from the innkeepers Jeannine and Ken. It honestly felt like we had come home to visit family and friends. The views kept me in "awe" the peaceful solitude with the beauty of the pines, cranberry bogs accompanied by the voices of nature could not be beat. The breakfast was absolutely delicious as we ate out on the covered deck enjoying the views. It was so relaxing, and Jeannine with her open and friendly personality saw to our every need. Our room had its own living room adjoining the bedroom with a private bath. On Cranberry Pond is an absolute must stay if you are in the New England area. Its very central to all attractions. If you are seeking a relaxing vacation, peaceful surroundings and a fantastic view-this is the place for you! Lisa W

Our five-night stay at On Cranberry Pond Bed and Breakfast was perfectly wonderful. For this trip we were a family of three. Our bedroom came with an adjoining bedroom, providing ample space for the three of us. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets were the softest we had ever slept in….Portuguese cotton, I believe. The water is so soft (no need to pack any hand cream) and the soap/shampoo smells heavenly. The large home has many sitting rooms for visiting or just sitting and reading. The home has a large wrap-around porch which looks out onto two ponds (filled with blooming water lilies in the early morning) and cranberry bogs. The setting is quiet, peaceful, and serene. Jeannine, the innkeeper along with her husband Kenny, is a wonderful cook. (I understand a cookbook is now in the works!) A delicious breakfast was served every morning either on the porch or in the kitchen or dining room, depending on the weather. Breakfast each of the five days was varied and abundant. We now know that ice cream can be a treat for breakfast, too, as it topped a delicious fruit kuchen one morning. Oatmeal will never be the same after having Jeannine’s, loaded with apples, cranberries, and nuts. We were served French toast/sausage and a quiche made with Jeannine’s home grown vegetables the next couple of mornings. For our last morning she asked what we would like as she would make whatever we requested. We had delicious eggs benedict. We enjoyed our visits at breakfast with their other interesting and friendly guests. Both Jeannine and Kenny are well informed about the area and give great insights into the best places to visit. Jeannine and Kenny are wonderful, friendly hosts who care about taking the very best care of their visitors. We were grateful to have found On Cranberry Pond Bed and Breakfast and are grateful to have enjoyed their loving hospitality and lovely home.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to have the pleasure of staying here for 3 nights recently. We had been to Brooklyn, Cleveland, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Front Royal, VA., and Manhattan on a whirlwind vacation before landing On Cranberry Pond!!!! Without a doubt, this was THE HIGHLIGHT of our vacation. We had read THE ONE review amongst all the 5 star reviews. We did not put too much stock into THAT ONE review. As a result, we met some of the most giving and wonderful people!!!
We drove up to find no one there. A note addressed to us simply said " make yourself at home, your room is upstairs"!! I mean, who does that?? We went to find a laundromat and returned to find " Kenny". ( thank you for your service in Vietnam sir) Kenny was very welcoming. Later on, Jeannine introduced herself and took a GENUINE interest in our vacation stories!!! Jeannine offered up " tips" on our upcoming trips to Salem, Plymouth Rock, and Boston. She is so knowledgeable of the area. Our room was " under renovation" and we knew that coming !!!! No worries though. A/C was cold, bed was so comfy!!! I mean, you're there to sleep and shower people!!!
Now comes breakfast. Jeannine offered up quiche , fresh, fruit, crime brûlée French toast, and various juices!!! She tended to our every need and was ALWAYS a phone call away!! There is a reason this place was featured on the cover of Martha Stewarts Living!!! My wife and I made it a point do what we had to do as efficiently as possible so that we could return and enjoy the serene tranquility of this place!!!
Thank you Jeannine and Kenny. We anxiously await your visit to San Antonio ..

My wife and I stayed here while attending a wedding. Who would guess that the stay at On Cranberry Pond would have overshadowed the wedding. From the moment of our arrival, Jeannine, the owner, welcomed us with a friendliness which immediately relieved the tension of the long drive from Boston. We were very early, but that was OK. She let us have our rooms and we were able to check in early. The rooms were very comfortable and very clean. A number of antique items in the room as well as the entire house were very comforting. Bathrooms were spotless. As an added ingredient, we were not forced to use the little bars of motel soap so often seen in places. Jeannine uses soap dispensers which dispense high quality neutrogena soap liquid, something I appreciate with my dry skin. But that is just the way it is here. Little things that add up to a lot. And talk about service. When I became hopelessly lost trying to find the wedding venue, Jeannine let me borrow here GPS for the two days we stayed with her.

The food at breakfast was wonderful. In addition, Jeannine is a baker of vast talents. Watch out for the quadruple chocolate cupcakes. They will satisfy a chocoholic's sweet tooth. Did I mention the brownies which are available all day. Not to be missed. I think, though, that what I enjoyed the most was the ambiance. This is something the innkeepers create with their own good nature and people who stay at the Inn, perfect strangers before arriving, are chatting away like old friends during the very first meal together.

I have mentioned Jeannine a few time, but there is another owner, her husband Kenny. I really enjoyed talking with him. He is an all around good guy with interesting stories to tell about his experiences in the area. The two of them are a dynamic duo.

I had mentioned at the top that we were at the B&B as a lodging for a wedding. But my wife and I have spoken about making this place a destination for a future trip. Can't wait to get back. Five stars is not a high enough rating.

Room Tip: There aren't any bad ones.

This unique experience was one that SHOULD be repeated!!!
We were traveling for a 50th H.S. class reunion, and there were 4 to 5 accomodations recommended. We needed a place centrally located between the festivities and our aging MOM who had just returned home from an assisted living facility. We spent 4 delightful nights here.
The cranberry room was spacious, lovely decorated and huge closet made our own space seem so much like home.
We had a combination of Family obligations and friends for fun. Boy, what a pleasure to return each day to this little piece of heaven. How wonderful to unwind and regroup our emotions etc. The people were "MORE" than anticipated. The other guests were a delight. From beginning to end - we couldn't top this adventure if we tried.
