We saw an ad in Merrimack Valley magazine & decided to check it out. We love to eat outside as much as we can in the good weather, it's such a small window for those of us who live in New England. Jules has replaced a restaurant that was in same building for most of my lifetime & really was never anything special in my opinion but for a lot of people a local favorite. We went on a Saturday evening around 8pm so we chose not to eat on the deck in fear of mosquitoes coming out at dusk. But we saw the deck located right on the Merrimack River & it looked inviting for another visit earlier in the evening if the dining experience warranted it. The menu had interesting choices, well priced & a nice wine list( we both love wine with dinner ) The staff knew the menu, able to answer any questions & friendly. Our dinners were served timely & we both thought are meals were flavorful as we shared between plates. We had such a good experience that we returned 4 nights later with our daughter at an earlier time on a warm summer evening to enjoy the deck. The setting was perfect, there were boats on the river, one had a water skier in tow & plenty of ducks swimming nearby, The food was as good but the service was fragmented. We were sat before the table had reset properly, had to ask for utensils then for bread plates & then for napkins. However, overall, I would still return again for the riverside dining experience
