We tried to get food from Larsen's but we were too late.
Luckily The Bite was still open.
We ordered our food and were quickly served.
We sat out the back to eat our dinner and found ourselves on the mosquitoes menu instead.
After about 3 minutes and 10 bites per person, we hastily abandoned the bench and headed for the car.
The food and price were just fine. If Larsen's is so much better rated, I am curious to know what is that much better about it, but I left MV before I could personally find out the answer.

Fried clams that were perfectly cooked. I am not sure what else to say other than the clams were awesome and I am glad after coming here for 10 plus years we finally made it to the bite. Go and forget about the calories for the day.

If you visit MV, you kind of have to go to Menemsha to buy and bring home fish or eat a meal from the ocean by the ocean. The Bite is a clam shack that is absolutely worth visiting--especially if you like fried food. The menu is small, there are just a few picnic tables and soda is served out of a machine ($1.25 for a can.) But the food is hot, delivered quickly and when you reach the bottom of your white carton after devouring your snack/meal, you'll wish fried food were good for you--and that there was more of it in front of you. Not cheap--but few places on the island are. A summer tradition.

The fish sandwich was tasty & the fried scallops were fried just right, the batter didn't overwhelm the scallop which happens a lot when fried. Seating is limited but the beach is just a 5 minute walk down the road.
