Matt Gamache, the king of local diners, has given the former South Coast Local Dinner a major face lift with a nautical theme which suits its vintage 1950s bones very well. Opening in Feb. 2014, it is a welcome port in the storm for all who crave fresh local reasonably priced comfort food, served with a smile. My husband and I just moved to the area, and stopped by for lunch served with a generous portion of hospitality. The small order of fish and chips included 2 pieces of lightly breaded moist white fish, served with lots of hand cut fries and scrumptious fresh as a daisy chopped coleslaw. Linda, our server, was super attentive with coffee refills, and took extra time to ensure that my "date" and I were seated in a comfy booth. The owner, Matt (you'll know him by his diner king crown), stopped by to ensure that all of his customers were happy. Nice touch. Stroll or rock on over for breakfast or lunch.
