I have been going to Oxford for about 30 yrs. There has been some change over the years but the food is still the best around. The portions are large. The fish and chips are the best. The Fish has gotten greasier over the years, let it sit on the paper plate or napkin and then move to another plate.

It is only open from April through October. It is open Tuesday- Sunday. There is plenty of parking but it is a very busy parking lot. There are a few round tables inside and a few picnic tables near the building then a few picnic tables in the back of the parking lot under large trees. The tables inside the building are very cramped together. It can get stuffy. Once you enter the door go to the front counter to order your food. Sometimes there are so many people waiting for food, you cannot get in the door. The weekends are very crowded. We place a phone order for our food and when we get there we decide whether we will sit and eat or take home. It depends on how busy. The beverages are pricey. I would grab something from home and sit outside. If you sit outside during twilight or later, bring bug repellant. Many people bring their pets, not all are well behaved and they are not the best about picking up after them.

Had lobster rolls at the Oxford Creamery and they were very good. A simply plain D.Q. type of set up with inside and outside eating. A reasonable cost for a good meal. Also had ice cream there which was very good as well, but like all the New England type ice cream, it melted quickly. You must get your "licker" on fast.

We stopped there this last Sunday on a casual drive along the shore. The parking lot was full and that is a good sign when you are trying out a new place. We ordered a lobster and a scallop roll and they were excellent and a great value. Will be returning next week for more.

My husband and I were on our way to Cape Cod and I wanted to find a charming little restaurant for lunch...looked at trip advisor and found one we were heading toward..but after we passed the busy Oxford Creamery we turned around and went back there..so glad we did. Lobster roll was fabulous..ice cream was great. Appeared to be a big local lunch place..saw a couple of cute grandads with their grandkids..no waitress service..go up to the counter and order and then they call out your number and you pick it up. It was noisy/busy but I'm glad we stopped there.

I've been eating here since the mid 80's and count on the fact that it has never changed. Outstanding everything, but I love the lobster rolls, scallop rolls, chowder, and milk shakes. Staff is very friendly.
