There's nothing wrong with this restaurant. But there's nothing much to keep people coming back, either.
The food is adequate; nothing stands out as something to come back for.
The staff is typical local staff - pretty good. It's pretty clear that they are not trained, but have learned their trade at other, probably family-style restaurants in the area.
The whiskeys are good, if a tad over-priced.
The atmosphere is semi-formal, leaning toward wood paneling.
Best of luck to them - upper-scale-oriented restaurants tend to wither in this area, as most vacationers aren't looking for something this upscale, and neither are most locals.
One big turnoff - lots of typos in the various menus, with my favorite being the "Pre-Fix" menu available between 4:45 - 5:45 5 days a week. Not "Prix Fixe," but "Pre-Fix." That's just sloppy for anyone trying to sell themselves as a higher-end restaurant.
If the management can't something that basic right, what other little basics do they overlook?
