When we first arrived at the Sanuit Inn we were impressed. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. Also the headboard and the bedside table looked new. When we went to bed that night the heat kept turning on and off waking me up throughout the night. Also, the light shined into the room in the morning, because there was only a small blind from us and the outside. Also, in the morning we were awoken at 7AM to doors slamming around us and people chatting loudly. Apparently there was a baseball team there the same night as us and they decided to slam doors all morning and blare their TV loud. Even though the place itself was nice and in a good location we would never go back.

This place is a gem! All of the rooms are clean and some are updated. We stayed in an older room and it was lovely. This is in a great location and has an incredible staff. If you want wireless, make sure to stay close to the lobby, though- the router is a little slow. Other than that we were so blessed by our stay and time on the Cape.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Santuit Inn. It is in a wonderful location only minutes away from the mashpee commons which is a very cute place to do your shooping. There are many great shops in the Mashpee Commons as well as great places to eat. Personally we really enjoyed the atmosphere at bobby byrnes pub. Not only is this motel close to great shopping and food but it is also very close to the beach. We definitely spent a good amount of time enjoying those wonderful cape cod beaches. Along with the great location the staff here was really friendly and recommended many great things for us to do. I will definitely be staying here the next time I return to Cape Cod. It was an affordable, friendly place in a great location

We recently booked a three night stay at the Santuit Inn. While our stay there was not completely unpleasant, the lack of attention to detail and low hospitality standards makes it difficult to recommend this place.

Our level of expectation was high based on website photos, descriptions and price. The layout and décor are attractive. The beds were clean and comfortable. The shower was hot and had good water pressure. The 32 inch flat screen HDTV in the living area was a nice modern touch (although there was no channel directory for the basic cable service, which can be annoying if you just want to quickly check the Weather Channel).

However, on closer inspection Santuit Inn falls short. Some complaints were addressed after our first night, but the lack of attention to detail that followed made our overall stay a disappointment.

Overall Service

• The clerk at the front desk was brusque and didn’t made us feel welcome
• Accomodations were accessible by a flight of wooden stairs but no help bringing up luggage was offered

Housekeeping/Cleanliness

• The cottage smelled like cigarette smoke upon entering and had not been thoroughly dusted (top of the refrigerator, lamps, pictures, base boards)
• Kitchen utensils, toaster and microwave had not been cleaned
• Housekeeping attempted to access the cottage while we were still inside and a “do not disturb” sign was never provided
• Washcloths, paper towels & paper cups were not replaced during our stay

Accommodations

• Bedroom windows face the parking lot and street, while blinds are provided, room darkening curtains are not, so light from the street shines into the rooms at night. During our visit, one the windows in the second bedroom did not close. This was fixed upon request, but it should’ve been repaired before our arrival. Also, window blinds in both bedrooms were broken.
• Cottage potentially sleeps 6 people, but in terms of actual space, realistically 2 - 3 adults max or 2 adults with 2 children.
• Being on the second floor, the temperature in these rooms can reach 80+ in the summer. There is no central A/C, but ceiling fans, a desk fan and one small window air conditioner are provided.
• There is limited drawer space since neither bedroom contains a dresser. The closets have been renovated, but only a few hangers were provided (one was broken), although more were provided on request.
• The bathroom has not been renovated. The shower stall is on the small side and the toilet is not parallel to the sink.
• The second bedroom did not have a clock radio. One was provided upon request, but not plugged into the outlet behind the bed. Why should guests have to move heavy furniture to plug in an appliance supplied by management?
• The advertised Wi-Fi did not work from this location.

The Santuit Inn has the potential to be a quality accommodation if these items are addressed. They need to work harder to meet the upscale “boutique” image for which they advertise and charge.

Stayed for three nights with my husband and five-month-old son while visiting in-laws in Cotuit and Mashpee. Yes, it is clearly an older motel that has been "Pottery Barned," but the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the owner and staff were very friendly. The bathrooms haven't been remodeled, but they were spotlessly clean (and I love 50s retro tile, so the decor wasn't really a problem). We loved being able to watch the Sox on the giant HD TV. Plus, the price was excellent for high season on the Cape. No, it isn't "even a Holiday Inn," but it's a great little beach motel with a lot of character. It was exactly what we were looking for, and we'll definitely stay again.

Our effortless and relaxing Cape Cod long weekend was made possible by the convenient location of the Santuit Inn in Mashpee, MA. It was a fast drive to beaches, shopping, Cape Cod canal bike path in Bourne, and the Barnstable fairgrounds. It only took us 25 minutes to get to Brewster and 20 minutes to get to Bourne. Everything was accessible from this central location.

We enjoyed the annual Mashpee Night at the Pops free concert and fireworks display at the Mashpee Commons.

The inn was clean and simple. The staff was friendly. The pricing was very reasonable. The rooms were comfortable and bright, resembling an unembellished beach cottage. There were complimentary pastries and coffee in the morning.

The bathrooms were the only part of our room that hadn’t gone through a recent renovation.

The walls were freshly painted and the bed linens were brand new. The plantings outside were very pretty and well-maintained.

If the pricing remains at this rate, you won’t find anything better for this price on the Cape.

We stayed for two nights at the Santuit Inn for a wedding in Mashpee. The place is clean and perfectly servicable, but was clearly a dumpy motel before being renovated. They've Pottery-Barn'ed it up, but it's still an exterior entry, one-level, tiny bathroom, low ceiling type of place.
