Beautiful views of Marblehead harbor and the best bloody mary's in town will greet you in this Marblehead classic. Also worth a try - clam chowder, onion rings, lobster roll, tuna roll. Staff is very friendly and there are delicious specials every day!!

“A Special New England Treat”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

Yes, there is limited parking. It is very crowded and for non-M'headers hard to find. But everyone we've taken to the Barnacle from all over the world remembers it as what they thought a harborside New England restaurant should be. Other than last July 4th when they didn't have lobsters, we've always had a memorable, fun dinner. Even the "sans lobster" night was redeemed with their great steamers.
We especially love going there on cold, bleak nights with out of town friends. Virtually every other restaurant in Marblehead is similar to hundreds of other restaurants around the country. Go to or bring guests to The Barnacle and they will exclaim it was a wonderful experience and will leave fond memories of Marblehead in their minds.

“Best View in Town of Harbor”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

Fun restaurant especially during late June before the of rush of summer. You like boiled lobster well you have come to right establishment. Wait for outer table for the view. Before your eyes there 2700 sailboats. Weds night specials are the best deal in town.

“Enjoy a great view of the harbor.”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

I have always enjoyed the clam chowder at The Barnacle. The location is outstanding to view the harbor and enjoy the activity in it during the summer months. The menu has a lot of fried food items, particularly seafood.

“O.K.”
Reviewed April 8, 2014

Lunch on a Monday, with a friend and an infant. Best time to go. Mostly empty, and gracious seating. Excellent service, but unfortunately the much ballyhooed muscles were .... Ordinary. However, the onion strips were superb from the fish and chips entree. Not a destination restaurant for me. But then, I'm from Boston and visited Provincetown regularly, so my standards are high.
