I was referred here by the owner of the B & B I stayed in. This is definitely a locals' hangout and not a tourist destination. There was one person serving an extremely crowded dining room, as well as seating people and clearing tables. She did it all with panache! The chowder is fantastic, and I had fried clams which were delicious and fat-bellied. Not fancy, but the down-home down-east cooking of my childhood—simple, hearty, fresh, full of the sea.
