“Best B&B!”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

I have been to a few B&Bs and I must say that the Marblehead Inn is one of the cleanest and most comfortable. The rooms were very spacious, had great lighting, comfortable beds, and clean and new bathrooms. On top of the wonderful accommodations, the staff delivered exceptional service (and being in the customer service field myself, I tend to be critical of this aspect!). The continental breakfast had a variety of choices and they were very considerate and thoughtful to cater to my food allergy. I would absolutely stay there again!

We spent a long week-end at the Marblehead Inn with our family which required the use of 2 suites and an adjoining room. We were extremely pleased with the accomodations and with the service.
The Old style decor fit perfectly in with the beautiful architecture of the house .The first floor suite with its private doors onto the side yard was exactly what we needed to allow the children to play within our watch, and the jacuzzi in the upstairs room made it easy to coax them into a fun bath afterward.
The Continental breakfast was plentiful, varied and pleasing to those who required "rice milk" or "gluten free" items. Tea and fresh coffee were available all day.
The staff - Karlene, John, Joody and Patricia- was very attentive, friendly, helpful, and extremely thoughtful and accommodating.
Other great amenities are the Inn's large parking lot, its proximity to Devereux Beach where we enjoyed a beautiful day, church, and the shops downtown Marblehead. Our family was extremely pleased with our stay and we highly recommend The Marblehead Inn.

Room Tip: The first floor suite (5) was the best for our needs..

Staying at the Marblehead Inn is a treat. From the moment one walks into the Inn to the moment one leaves, you are warmly welcomed and every effort is made to respond to questions and accommodate your desires. Karlene, John, Patricia and Joody were friendly and always welcomed conversations and sharing of experiences.

I stayed in Room 7 -- a room that feels very cozy. I enjoyed, sitting at the room's breakfast table, looking out of the front of the Inn to Pleasant Street when I was in the room for any length of time. There is also a comfortable wing chair in the room. The shower had good water pressure and was quite roomy. There is a window unit air-conditioner that is more than adequate to cool the room. There is no elevator in the Inn; but, the rooms on the second floor where I stayed are accessible by gradually climbing stairs and a solid handrail.

As other reviewers have noted, the continental breakfast had many choices available, including fresh cut fruit, bagels, muffins or other pastries, yogurt, fresh handmade breads of all varieties, jams and other spreads and pieces of fruit -- all complimented by a selection of orange juice, teas and/or coffee. There was certainly enough of an assortment to vary my four days of breakfast at the Inn. Ice was available throughout the day, along with various snack foods.

The WIFI was available in the room with a fairly reliable and fast connection. The Inn is about a 15 to 20 minute walk to Historic Marblehead.

All in all, I would heartily recommend the Inn for any length of stay.

Our second stay at the Marblehead Inn exceeded expectations. Our first stay was on the upper lfoor, in a suite named after a famous American Aviator. (call and ask who!) When we needed trip advice or an extra towel or two on our recent visit in August, the staff were pleasantly on-point.
We could not have been more pleased, though we surely wish we had tried that whirlpool bath!
Next visit, maybe we will.

Room Tip: Look for more Victorian accents on the ground and second floors. Corner rooms will have two windows...

We spent an extended weekend at the B&B. Owners were very accommodating. Suite was large and super clean. We had access to a side entry with keys and had no issues with our late night homecomings. Breakfast was simple but delightful. Would definitely stay again if I'm in the area.

Room Tip: No room service or fitness center as this is a B&B.

We had a great weekend stay, the room was large and nicely appointed, lovely bathroom, tasty breakfast, helpful staff. Walking distance to beach--and if you ask nicely and promise to return them, the innkeeper will lend you beach towels. It was a great stay, while not a bargain a very good value for the ..

Have driven by too many time to count growing up in Marblehead. Decided it was time to spend the night. The rooms are comfortable and homey. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The breakfast of assorted fruits and baked goods was wonderful. We only stayed the one night but we'd definately come back again.
