As noted, the hotel is going thru a lot of renovations. What they have done so far is pretty good. The redone rooms are nice. The common areas need some work still. The breakfast is very ho-hum though and not worth it in my opinion.

July 2017: This hotel is undergoing a large renovation this summer. The staff were very nice, but the indoor pool and all the surrounding seating area, dining area, bar, and some hallways are under construction. The room we had was decent, but not worth the $190/ night. The front desk did not have a map of the area, the room desk chair did not raise up to work at ask level, the toilet took 5-10 gallons to flush, as long as you held the handle down, and the room temperature was regulated by a notorious inside fan/heat mechanism that made so much noise as it cycled on and off (and sometimes buzzed; I finally just turned it off so we could sleep). I hope the renovations include upgrading the thermostat systems. The shower water pressure and temperature were good. Again, the staff were very nice, just don't book here til renovations are completed. How dare hotels not mention this when you book??? and offer a discounted rate???

Room tip: Away from indoor pool would be quieter due to construction.

mathstudent245,

Thank you very much for the feedback. I am very sorry you were not informed of the renovation prior to your arrival. Rest assured I will be reaching out to all of our reservation distributors to inquire as to why they have not continued to get the message out there. We look forward to the opportunity to show you all the improvements we have made once the reservation is over.

Thank you!

Chose this hotel on a whim to celebrate a friends birthday at Patriots Place and I couldn't have been happier. Leticia Nd the team couldn't have been more accommodating. As a Platinum member she upgraded me to a junior suite, which gave us ample room for decorations and cake to surprise the birthday girl with. Before heading out we had time for a quick appetizer and drink at the bar. George the bartender was a sweet heart and the spicey shrimp appetizer is the way to go! We didn't visit the pool or anything else during the stay, but I loved how the hotel had a resort feel to it. Big thanks to the Holiday Inn Mansfield team and I will definitely return soon!

I have stayed at a ton of Holiday Inns. This hotel was okay at best. Room and bed were comfortable and clean, that is the most important thing. The hotel is older and undergoing some renovations.

It is very convenient for Xfinity Center shows. There is a private shuttle that you can procure which makes going to the show hassle free!

My best friend and I, along with my teen daughter and her best friend, were in town to see a concert at the Xfinity. I booked a 2 double bed room with breakfast included well in advance under a pay-ahead, no cancellations, no refunds deal. The hotel is under renovation and looks like it will be quite nice upon completion. As of right now, it is definitely a work in progress. Upon arrival, we had to use the restroom so we took a little tour of the courtyard. We were hoping we would be assigned a courtyard or pool view room which have sliding glass doors leading to the hotel's interior, but instead we were assigned an exterior room with just a window view of the parking lot, which was fine. (We were really only there for a place to sleep after the concert.) At check-in, we were given two vouchers for the breakfast buffet and when we inquired about the fact that we had made the reservation for four, we were told that breakfast was only included for two. However, since our additional two guests were children, we were given two "children eat free" breakfast vouchers. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful and fulfilled our requests for forgotten items (razors, shaving cream, toothbrushes and toothpaste). The room was just average and was mostly clean with the exception of a small stain on the sheets on one of the beds. Our door's deadbolt lock was also either broken or was like nothing I've ever seen before. It did not prevent the door from being partially opened, just from being opened all the way. It was hard to sleep as there were other guests in the hallway yelling and screaming all night and well into the early morning hours (not the hotel's fault, but still something that affected our stay). When we arrived at the breakfast buffet, vouchers in hand, the man who "brought us" to our table was clearly uninterested in being helpful in the least. I say he "brought us" to our table because he stopped walking about five feet before the table, pointed at it and said "you can sit there" and walked away. We were given no direction as to whether we should wait for a server to bring coffee or juice or whether we should just head up to the buffet and serve ourselves. After a moment of discussion, we realized that everything, including coffee and juice, was up at the buffet and we headed up there. The food was fine, but the server's lack of customer service skills was not. Maybe it's because of the renovations and the fact that breakfast that would normally be in the restaurant was in the courtyard bar area instead, but make up your mind, Holiday Inn - either provide a server who is helpful and friendly or allow people to seat themselves where they please. Everything about our overall experience up until this point was average. At checkout, my group exited through the side door we had entered through to load up our car while I walked to the main lobby to checkout. My group then pulled around the building to pick me up and we headed off to the outlets in Wrentham. About halfway there, my teen daughter realized she was missing her wallet with the cash she had been saving for her outlet shopping trip. After a thorough car and bag search, we knew we had left it at the hotel. The last place we were certain we had it was when it was put on the bed in a pile of things that needed to be carried out to the car. We called the hotel and someone was sent to our room to look for the wallet, but informed us it was not there. For a teen girl with her first summer job, saving her money to buy herself things at the outlet, you can imagine this is devastating news and what we thought was going to be a very unfortunate life lesson. We hung up with the hotel and again searched the car just in case we had missed it and in retracing our steps, decided that the wallet was definitely in the pile of belongings that were carried to the car and it was somewhere between the room and the car that it went missing. We again called the hotel and asked if there was any way someone could check the parking area. Stephanie was more than helpful and said she would run out right away to check the parking area and call us right back. Within five minutes, we got a call from Stephanie asking for a description of the wallet and when we were able to confirm what the wallet looked like, she happily informed us that she had indeed found it and would set it aside for us to pick up after our day at the outlets. When we arrived back at the hotel to pick up the wallet, we were delighted to find that everything was still in it. (We were concerned that maybe someone had found it before Stephanie did, removed its contents and thrown it back on the ground.) Thank you to Stephanie for going above and beyond to save the day! She turned what would have been an average rating into a very good one!

vaca-fun-4-ever,

Thank you for the review! I am happy to hear that Stephanie saved the day and I cannot wait to share your comments with her. Please know I will also be looking into the issue you had with the breakfast staff immediately. That is not how we normally conduct business here at the Holiday Inn and I will be sure to correct this right away.

Please be sure to check us out once our renovation project is complete and we have the hotel running at full capacity again. We look forward to the opportunity to show you all the incredible improvements we have made!
