“Very poor customer service...”
Reviewed July 12, 2013

We booked this hotel because of it's proximity to Foxboro Stadium. When I called the 800 number to make our reservation I was told that they only had a smoking room available. The gentleman was very helpful and suggested I reserve the room at the flexible rate and then call the hotel directly to see if they could put us in a non-smoking room. I took his advice and spoke to Brad at the front desk who couldn't wait to get me off the phone from the moment I said hello. I asked about switching to a non-smoking room and he said "if the person at the 800 number told you that that's all we have then that's all we have". I asked if he wouldn't mind checking...he did and there was nothing else available. Brad then rushed me off the phone while I was in mid-question. I then cancelled the reservation and booked at another nearby hotel. I travel frequently for business and know the importance of quality customer service and first impressions. Perhaps Brad was just having a bad day but I cannot justify spending $300+ a night to be treated with indifference.

I am sorry about your experience with our guest service staff. I can assure you that is not the standard to find someone who isn't helpful. We strive to ensure our front desk agents and other team members know how much we value your business. I apologize for any issues you had. Thank you for your feedback and we hope that you will consider staying with us in the future.

We blocked off twenty rooms for our daughters wedding in Foxboro for the last weekend in June. Maria was especially helpful with all the details. Our guests enjoyed the breakfast area, the bar, and the friendly pet policy. I would definitely recommend this property. We had a great weekend!

We picked this hotel because of the proximity to the Comcast Center. Check in was a breeze and the front desk people were very friendly and helpful. It was a very busy time as a lot of people were at the hotel for the One Direction concert, but the staff were very upbeat! My only complaint about this hotel is the loud AC unit in the room, it is VERY loud. With the temperature during the day in the 90's and very high humidity, I couldn't sleep with out the AC one but as it turned out, I didn't sleep much because it was so loud. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. The beds were very comfortable and our room was very clean. Other than that it was the perfect place to stay if you are in town for a concert!

Holiday Inn was the perfect spot for our overnight. We saw Fleetwood Mac and didn't want to drive all the way back to Maine. There is a shuttle (separate company & fee) that goes between I highly recommend that! Our room was huge...clean...and very comfortable. Our only mistake was choosing an exterior facing room. Our view was the parking lot. Interior facing rooms have balconies and patios overlooking a pool area and lovely landscaped sitting spots. I would choose that from now on at any Holiday Inn. The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly.

This hotel ended up being a convenient location to The Comcast Center. It only took about 7 minutes to get there from this location. It was easy to find and the room was clean upon our arrival. No complaints for this hotel. If I ever visit Mansfield again, I would stay at the Holiday Inn.

Speedy check-in, very accommodating! When we got there we asked for adjoining room, got 'em! We asked for 2 refrigerators, got 'em! The rooms were clean and roomy, nice view of the entrance and dining area. (rm 406 & 410). The front desk, restaurant and the banquet staff were all very accommodating. The cleaning staff were very nice and timely! Tried the hot tub, very nice and the pool, also very nice. Had a great stay there. One down fall was the smoking room location, which was outside the front entrance. You could not avoid breathing smoke going in and coming out. Boo... Hissss....

Tripadvisor readers, please take all of the 5 circle reviews here written by reviewers who have only written one or two reviews with a great BIG spoonful of salt. This hotel isn't even close to being a 3 star, let alone a 5 star hotel.

The hotel is located in a business park, and there is nothing close by except office buildings. You can drive a bit to get to some food places and stores. The hotel is built around a central atrium, which means rooms on the inside of the hotel are as dark and depressing as a tomb during the day. They are also very noisy, especially rooms by the indoor pool.

The rooms themselves, at least the the two we had, are large, but desperately in need of renovation. They look nothing like the photos on the hotel's website. The beds are soft and lumpy, the curtains in our room have a large hole and the lock on the door which leads to the pool area is broken (they did put on a security bar), the bathroom has mold around the base of the shower and in the shower grout, in fact, the whole room smells moldy. The bathroom curtain looks to be about 10 years old, frayed and torn. The grout is missing in the bathroom floor. The dated 70s-80s look is completed by the popcorn ceilings. There is a wall mounted hair dryer on the bathroom wall; unfortunately it is so far from the sink and mirror that you cannot look in the mirror while drying your hair. I agree with the other reviewer that said the pool smell permeates the room. The carpeting in the room is filthy.

There is a restaurant here, but it is only open for breakfast and in the evening, so make sure you have a car if you want some lunch.

On the plus side, we had no problems with the free Internet. We also got a good rate.

There are so many other hotel choices in this area, why would you chose a hotel which apparently was transported here from the 1970s, picking up dirt and wear along the way?

Room Tip: Find another hotel if you want a nice room!
