Here's a place that would have a place in every town.A few booths and tables, a counter and a communal table. It's got maybe 20 menu items all together - and a few are just for lunch - but there's some that are creative (Kimchee Bowl) and some that are standard (Veggie Burger). Hand cut, perfectly salted shoestring fries, decent portions, very pleasant atmosphere and waitstaff. We didn't have any alcohol but it is available. The ambiance is that everyone who's there seems happy, including the staff. What else could you ask for?

I went to Superfine with a friend for lunch and the ambiance was clean well lit with a hip vibe.
Our waitress was gracious and knowledgeable about the menu, especially about the things that were unavailable.
First I asked if they had Root Beer and she said she just sold the last one.
Then she said there's some issues with the menu- and proceeded to list the things they didn't have, which was pretty much half the menu.
There was no pizza because there was no pizza chef at the moment. Also there were no salads except one. Although I was going to order pizza I opted for the ribs which were excellent, my friend had the house made fish patty burger made of salmon and tuna. It wasn't a very thick patty, yet it was tasty and the toppings made for a nice layer of flavor. The unique take on slaw that came with the ribs was good and the shoestring fries that came with the fish were good while still hot. Very typical of shoestring fries, they go cold fast and the enjoyment of them drops quick.
They were also out of the hot honey sauce I wanted for the ribs. Now that's consistency! As often happens when a restaurant operation expands (now 3 locations), the focus is lost with visions of greater horizons.

Having heard so many great things about Superfine, we stopped in for Sunday brunch after a short hike to the Agassiz Rocks. What a cute, clean, comfortable restaurant-- with a few side booths, a long communal table and full bar. Great coffee and bloody Mary, followed by a Mexican skillet special of the day and the crunchy fried chicken basket with pickles and miso slaw. The server was very gracious and attentive, and Chef Chris came from the kitchen to greet us. Manchester-by-the-Sea is forty minutes from our home, but we will make Superfine and the next-door bookstore delightful occasional destinations.

So we're searching for a new place to dine out and stumble upon "Superfine" in Manchester-by-the Sea. They were fairly well reviewed on Yelp, so we gave it a try.

We were greeted by friendly staff upon walking in the door, which was refreshing. We had a Mai Tai and draft beer to get started, then ordered an Italian pizza and the ribs. The pizza was pretty good, loved the crust. I'd say it was good, perhaps better than average, but not amazing. The ribs however, were unbelievably good. They were perfectly cooked, seasoned, and "fall off the bone" tender. At $16 for the ribs, they should be good and were. You gotta try them if you go. I'll indulge again the next visit. The ribs came with coleslaw and some tasty fries. We could've had a salad vice the fries, but choose to hit it hard instead. We spent $60 for two drinks and two entrees, which for a nice little place with quality food was fairly priced.

The atmosphere is that of a small, modern decor local place that small and cozy. We loved it and will eagerly return to this quaint little spot in a beautiful, quaint North Shore town.

I've been living in Manchester by the Sea for a few years now, and it's great to finally have a good restaurant. Superfine is by far the best restaurant in Manchester by the Sea. The food is great (especially the veggie burger) and the service is super fast and friendly. There are only two problems with Superfine - they have a reasonably limited menu (so look at it online before you go) and the prices are very high. The food is delicious, but the prices are too high. If you go to Superfine expect fast, friendly service, good food, and high prices.
