“Avoid this place like the plague”
Reviewed July 12, 2006

This hotel is worse than anything I could have imagined. When we first arrived we were a little anxious about the sketchy neighborhood the hotel is located in. Check in was smooth but when we got to our rooms we were overwhelmed by the rank smell of cat urine. Our friends room also reeked of cat pee, the bathroom door did not close and the bathroom light didn't work. In our room the safe wouldn't close and the smell was so bad we called down to the front desk to request a smoking room hoping that the smell of smoke would mask some of the urine smell. So they agreed to switch us into a new room, which was even worse. The toilet wouldn't flush, they couldn't unlock our safe, we tried to open the window to air out the room but when it wasn't locked the window would fall out of the window frame, the air conditioner didn't work, the phone didn't work and when we requested to at least be moved back to the first room, they refused. Not to mention being woken up by housekeeping at 8am despite the do not disturb sign on the door. The only good thing about this place is the price.
All in all, do yourself a favour and pay the extra to get a hotel room that doesn't so closely resemble hell.

Three beds in one room for two people (We were two 40 year old men.) and this was only one room available? Not even a partition separating one bed? We were awakened at 9:15 AM and hurried out to a room down the hall with two beds allegedly because an oversight (?) occurred and they suddenly needed that three-bed room for some of "family booking"?
Yes, everything was very clean and comfortable but this was very strange and the explanation for the early AM room change seemed dubious at best. It would not be unjustifiable for me to have felt that we were being treated as "undesirables" and I don't hesitate in saying so. They certainly had no trouble taking our money but even told us that we would have to re-register the next day and not book a room for two nights and at no point encouraged us to leave. And never was there any clutter, trash or garbage in either room beyond the usual used towels and disheveled bedclothes. If we and our behavior constituted what they regard as that of their more objectionable clients then whatever they have delt with in the past or ever will deal with then they have had and will continue to have nothing ever to find any fault with at all.
If only I had had access to this at the time I would likely have been just somewhat less kind in what I had to say, and, in no way am I at all inclined to find fault without unusual provocation -- typically, I overlook inconveniences or have come to expect them but the 9:15 AM "room switch" was the deciding factor that pushed me beyond my endpoint.

I chose this hotel because it was close to the airport. The price was much more than I am used to paying and therefore assumed that the hotel would be worth the price. Hallways smelled dank, outside doors were never locked, bathroom ceiling had mold, hotel provided only soap (no shampoo, coffee maker, hairdryer, etc), no airport shuttle, no decent restaurants were nearby. Continental breakfast was coffee and doughnuts. The only good thing was the bus stop that was a block away (I used public transportation for the entire trip). I would definately not recommend.

Had reservations for five nights, stayed just one (if it hadn't been so late when we arrived, we wouldn't have stayed that night!). Our room had mold in the bathroom, an unpleasant odor, fixtures broken, etc., etc., etc.

A group of five people (including myself) stayed at the hotel during March of 2002. We were surprised and relieved to find three beds in the room, which is rare for a motel. The room was spacious and clean, in a location not too far from downtown Boston. Overall, it is a nice alternative to more expensive downtown stays.
