Magic that could only come from a delightfully well stocked spice kitchen. Eact dish was more full of flavor than I am used to in Indian cooking. We tried Biryani, basmati, and coconut rice. All great. Coconut rice was made savory by pan roasting the coconut. Chicken saag was creamy and rich and mildly spiced. Goat biryani had a nice firey touch that did not overpower the lovely complex sauce. And the waitress was the soul of graciousness. Don't be put off by the exterior. There is magic happening in this kitchen.

This restaurant has a large menu for all of your south asian needs; including a variety of dosa choices and chicken65. The staff is especially welcoming and the owner personally visits each table. I have dined here multiple times and had them cater an event as well. Definitely recommended!

This place is a real hole in the wall. When we arrived there was only one car in the parking lot. Also the exterior was very.... Interesting to say the least, but past all of this there was very fresh food and a kind staff. Also this place was very clean even the bathroom was prestine. The food does take a while because it is made from scratch. Also I would recommend asking for help when choosing your food. The manager was even willing to sit down with us and give some back story and explanation.
Ideal meal:
appetizer: Somoza chat
Entree: beef biryani (if you are feeling adventurous get the Sri lanken special rice and curry)
Desert: rice flake porridge
All in all I loved this restaurant and will definitely return.

Our favorite Indian Restaurant closed recently so we were trying to find a new place to go. Unfortunately, we will have to keep looking. :( We tried this restaurant twice. The first time I felt slightly sick and tired for the next couple of days, but assumed it was due to the amount of dairy they use in the dishes. But the next time we ate here I ate only a few bites placed on a small plate, but my friend at a normal amount of food and a few hours later my heart started getting sharp pains and my cheeks and next were bright red and hot to the touch. Over the next couple of days several of the typical symptoms of MSG intolerance appeared in both of us. Sorry to say, but for those who like the flavor, there's a reason. There is an enormous amount of MSG added to this food. :( For some that might not be an issue, but we didn't even realize people still cooked using MSG so it wasn't something we asked about in advance. :(

This was our first experience with Sri Lankan food and it was delicious! We're Indian food fans and wanted to branch out a little.
We arrived, walked through the tiny market through to the dining room area and were greeted warmly by the owner. The restaurant is funky - kind of reminds me of a living room because of the wall hangings. But it's cozy and warm thanks to the heat fan blowing on us.
The menu is huge and offers items from both Sri Lanka and South India so we were comfortable with it. The owner explained that she makes everything fresh, no sauces were sitting around waiting to be ordered, and she offered us assistance when trying to figure out what we wanted.
We ordered mixed vegetable pakora and practically fought each other over the last crumbs. My chicken biryani was delicious but a little too spicy for me (I'm a wimp). Thankfully, our food runner brought us each a glass of water and a pitcher of water when we sat down so I could cool off. My husband loved his goat deviled grill and got a great side of rice to go with it. The raita was delicious and soothing - a perfect accompaniment to our meal. And the chapathi was delicious and chewy - perfect for a spicy meal.
We love S&S Market Biryani Park and are already planning a trip back soon!
