“Good food; good location”

Good Polynesian food; my preferred eat-in restaurant. Located on a major local bus route, with ample parking as well.

“Forgettable food, forgettable place.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

I'm not willing to rate the food at Green Tea "poor," but it is definitely below average; I'm not sure it even makes it to 'meh'. Portions are large and prices -- except for lobster and duck dishes -- are moderate. But the dominant flavor in the various dishes we ordered was salt, and not much else. The peking ravioli had thick, gummy crusts and bland mystery meat inside. Ingredient cost-cutting is evident everywhere: imitation crab stick in seafood dishes, small morsels of tough meat elsewhere. It's a big place that attracts a crowd: low prices and late hours will do that on the North Shore. Full bar with moderate prices as well. The dining room is cheery and well-supplied with Keno screens, if you like that sort of thing in a mealtime experience. This restaurant is likely to please folks who like suburban Chinese-American food: think of a sit-down version of a stripmall take-away place.

“Not so great......”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 15, 2012

We ordered dinner after reading so many reviews of how great the food was...unfortunately the food was less tasty than I had hoped for. It was so salty that it took away from the actual taste of the food. It did not include sufficient meat and lots of msg. I was not impressed with the meal, however it was good for the price. I probably will not go there again.

“Great Chinese food”

Food is very good and the serving sizes are large. The menu has all the traditional fare you would expect, and the kids love going here.

“Excellent Lobster Special as well as Pad Thai and Chow Main”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2011

Since The Whaf had closed I was glad that The Green Tea is so close. I visited two days in a row and had two different meals. The lobster was fresh and tasty as well as the Pad Thai and Chow Main.
