“Country peace in the middle of city stress”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 29, 2012

I LOVE the country but living in the city means you really have to travel quite a distance in order to experience the peace that a county walk can bring to you. This fantastic place in the middle of a not so great city is a true gem. You can walk the trails or you can get off the betten path and walk through the woods. It is a great place to introduce children to the wonderful world of trees and birds and clean water with very pretty ponds. Then you turn a corner and you have a view of the Boston skyline. Please respect this beautiful place and treat it gently, we are only stewards of the land for a short period of time and then it is passed on to the next generation. Enjoy this place it is amazing.

“Great for hiking, there are sometimes special events”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 16, 2012

Lynn Woods is beautiful, great place to hike. Also home of Dungeon rock, where supposedly pirate treasure is buried. In October they have Pirate Day where you are given a tour by pirates where you encounter other pirates along the way. Dungeon rock is also open. Normally it is closed unless you make special arrangements for a tour. Plenty of hiking and walking trails, and dogs are allowed.

“WOW, the views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

From the stone tower you look over the lush and colorful trees this time of year and see the Boston Syline. The trails maintained well. Ranger Dan opened the tower and dungeon rock as requested through email for us and we were impressed. We walked 6+ miles in 3 hours and I think I took 100 pictures. Very quite and rewarding hikes

2000 plus acres of beautiful woodland and wildlife-deer, foxes, turkeys and many other all inhabit this beautiful space that overlooks the reservoirs. Nice walking trails and a good public golf course nearby.Public transportation nearby.
