This museum also offers concerts, talks, seasonal festivals and activities for the young. Its exhibits are often very timely and always educational.

I am a local and utilize the park, not the museum, four to five days a week for exercise. There are a number of trails that are great for walking, running, or biking. My favorite is a six-mile stretch through the woods and meadows. The trail is much easier on an old guys knees and joints than the asphalt roads. It is a very peaceful experience, great for mind and body.

This museum is a great spot for children and adults. They have various exhibits throughout the year. Their is a lot of historical information about battles in Lexington, but different exhibits come through a few times per year. A few years back I took my niece and nephew to see the exhibit on Jim Henson. Many puppets were there and the kids had a blast. I have also gone their on field trips. There is a great photography room. When I was smaller, I visited a Native American exhibit there with my Girl Scout troop leader. Right across the street, you can pack a picnic and play frisbee.

The Masonic order has much to proud of for their support of this museum. The displays are well laid out and explained. Perhaps a little light on displays, but well worth the cost. Was somewhat difficult to find.

This small local museum is filled with displays telling the stories of local history and culture (old and recent) in addition to the artifacts from the independence era. Very nice place to spend a weekend afternoon with little kids.
